Cindi What ever it is, thanks for posting. Roses don't survive in my cool garden without good roots. It's good to know Rainbow KO is one of these. I like it a lot too.

Thanks, claire and diggingthedirt! I called every place I could think of in the Boston area, without success, but then my mother-in-law managed to locate three plants for me in Connecticut. I think she was able to pick them up today. I'm happy I'll be able to put them in this season. I also hadn't thought I would like this rose, but then I saw it growing in a spectacular garden in Glastonbury, CT, and I fell in love. The yellow centers blend into the pink so they "read" as just a warmer pink, and the plants were incredibly floriferous. I had not heard about the mildew problems, though--in fact I read quite the opposite--so of course I hope it won't be a problem. We'll see!

On a recent business trip to Portland, OR for a conference, a couple of other attendees and I rented a car a drove out to the Columbia Gorge for lunch and an afternoon of hiking. We went to Multnomah Falls Horsetail Falls Wahclella Falls and Elowah Falls

SHhhhh, Our weather here has been on the cool side, and many of my plants are just coming out of dormancy. MR is just waking up, no leaves yet, but I can see the tips glistening, and a very new inflo crowning on one of the tips. No new flowers to share yet, but I will post in a few months. Here are a few from last year. Hard to believe the last one is MR, but with heat and humidity, she changes so much. Do you see this in Florida, too? I got MR from Matthew as well. Like Laura said, he is wonderful to do business with.
