So hooked on PSP, the dinner had to wait untill I finished this one, pretty tutorial and easy.

Hi Marly, The tutorial could live on a hidden page on my website. No falling off the forum and being lost. I'd make it hidden because I'm assuming that we'd all rather that someone coming to my site shouldn't be able to cruise on over to the technical information (*especially* because it's not my expertise that built that info). That's why I imagined that there would be a "/technical" end to the address. Web forum members could access it without going through my home page, as well. If you want it, or anyway you could want this tutorial to be there, I could see if I can do it. This forum has given so much to me, I'd like to give a little back. If you do not care for the flour taste in gravy, you must simmer it for 15 minutes or so after you add a slurry. This is the reason people use a roux to thicken gravy and stews, the powdery flavor is already cooked out by the time you add it. A roux cooks the flour ahead of time, so your chicken/turkey/roast doesn't need to sit so long while you're making gravy. I use a light brown roux rather than a blond for turkey gravy, as the cooking time required adds a richer flavor. Remember though, that the longer the flour cooks, the less it's thickening power. If you're new at making gravy, or make it seldom, it is a good idea to have some extra chicken stock (or turkey base...Better Than Bouillon makes a good one) on hand in case of over thickening, weak flavor (or not enough drippings!) In the case of thin gravy that needs to be thickened a bit at the last minute, I prefer a cornstarch slurry to a flour slurry because it doesn't need the extra cooking time. Do not use cornstarch as the exclusive thickener however, because it makes more of a "glaze" than a gravy. One part cornstarch to 3 parts water is a good emergency, last minute thickener for a gravy that is just not quite thick enough. Add the cornstarch& water mix in small quantities, say a tablespoon at a time (a little does a lot!), keeping the gravy at a high simmer (stirring the while) for 3 minutes or so before deciding to add more.

Hi Judy. Sorry you are sick. Hope you feel better soon. Last Friday I didn't go to painting class as I had a cold and couldn't stop sneezing - oil paint and snot might make an interesting texture but I didn't want to be the one that invented it!! This Friday is Good Friday so classes aren't on :( Has anyone tried that tut? The mask unzips as a psp picture and I can't figure out how to make it load as a mask. Heheee considering we've done the tut before Judy is obviously not the only one losing gray matter! Sue :)

You can see my picture of the Maltese puppy above. I continued to play with it, by adding spruce, gifts and snow picture tubes. When I was finished, I saved it to jpeg. It wasn't until I tried to email the picture to my sister that I realized the file size had grown to 612kb, with the additional picture tubes. Is this normal for a file size to increase with the addition of picture tubes or is there a step I missed? Until just recently, I used PSP 8 only for editing my pictures and knew little about the programs other functions such as layers, masks etc., so I hope my question doensn't sound too ridiculous. Judy

I finally captured all 4 of the stamps, when I rotated one even though I had each one on a different layer with its eye closed and clicked on...all of them rotated.

That is lovely, better finished off than mine. When I upload my images, message reads "to big a file" so I have to reduce the size. Most of the uploaded images are much bigger than mine. Am I doing something wrong.

Here is a screenshot of the page you get after clicking generate html code (at the bottom of the page where your images are located.) I hi-lited what you need to copy then paste into your message. I haven't used Photo Bucket in so long it has changed, it used to be much easier.
I hope I got this right, if someone else can explain it better, please jump right in!!!!!

Disregard my prior post! I just tried what Urlee said and it worked. I tried it the other day before I posted, the first one I tried was the middle one as I had always done. I previewed my message and all the text showed not the image. I couldn't believe they had made it that difficult now.
