All electronics have built in obsolescence you know. Lenovo is Chinese owned, they bought up IBM. I have not read much bad about the company, I think Mikie who hangs out here owns a Lenovo which he seems happy with. You could Google 'Lenovo complaints' or 'Lenovo reviews' or even include the specific model and see what others think but be sure you read the complaints fairly as there are those who complain about silly things. Honest complaints are worth reading of course.

You didn't report what O/S you are using and at seven years it could be one of several. Be sure to read the system requirements on any item you are considering. I use to personally promote for various reasons individual peripherals rather than all-in-ones. However, now that the prices for AIOs are much more reasonable I only suggest them. Having two peripherals capable of printing is a great convenience too. I have my printer configured to Fast Draft Greyscale for all my general printing and my AIO configured for quality printing. The tandem saves ink and to switch between the two is quite easy. As a reminder, before you buy be aware of the cost for replacement ink cartridges.
