I now have about 300 of our family's favorite recipes in my computer and also on a zip drive for backup or taking on vacation. They are all Microsoft Word documents. Like Linda, the ease of use for me is how I have the folders and sub-folders set up. For example, if I want a recipe for scallops, I go to "Recipes", "Main Dishes", "Seafood", "Shellfish" folders and all the scallop recipes would be there. That system works fine for me and my girls so I haven't explored any cookbook software programs. I don't know what additional advantages they have.

Google sketch up is pretty great ... Watch the tutorials first you'll get really excited.... I played the tutorials on one computer, paused, and the practiced on another, until I figured it out. Good luck!

This takes a few steps but it may be fine for getting input from the forum on the plan you have done already. No scanning involved! Open your floor plan copy a pic of your screen with the floor plan (usually hit fn key and print screen key) paste the picture of your screen into your computer's paint program crop the image in the paint program to show the plan, not your whole screen save the image as a jpeg go to a photo sharing site (tinypic, photobucket etc) and download your image copy the HTML for Websites code paste the code into your message it sounds complicated, but pretty easy once you do it a few times. hth!
