Shannon, this was my first RR, although I've done many swaps. You did such a fabulous job organizing it, and I think that's what made it go so smoothly. Hope you enjoy your spring, and good luck planting out all those WS seedlings - I know I'm going to be a busy girl for the rest of the summer. The offer to type the journal still stands - after this coming weekend (20/21), my schedule opens up a lot - I'd love for Beth (and all the other early players) to be able to see what the rest of us wrote - IMHO, it was the journal in particular that made this really special, although there were lots of nice surprises. Kudos, lady! And have a happy Mother's Day yourself! :)

I don't sell my stuff, either. I get harassed and hounded by family and friends all the time because they feel I could really make some money off of my stuff. They don't get that I wouldn't make what it was really worth and to make a good amount, I would be so bogged down trying to fill orders. It just wouldn't be fun anymore! I enjoy using the items I make in my home or giving them as gifts. I don't just give things to anyone, though. I have to know it's something they'll love and use. I know one thing if my SIL doesn't STOP mentioning the dang tiles I painted for her and how everyone likes them and wants some, I might flip a nutty. I think she's telling people I will make them for them. She kept mentioning to me that we have to go to their house warming party because others will want to meet me! Oh, please! @@ Her home is not an art gallery and I'm not some up and coming artist! LOL

I made my collage yesterday, entered the coupon code in checkout (opting for store pickup), but for some reason the system kept trying to charge me! Granted, it was only about $5, but still. I tried to chat with a rep online, but was left in the queue forever. I may try again today. Not sure why I was having trouble getting it to go through correctly yesterday! Anyway, it is a very good deal (or it will be, if the coupon code is accepted!). Thanks for heads up, Lynn!

My dad always used saccharine tablets in his coffee and tea. There was a warning on the bottle that it had been shown to cause cancer in lab rats. Dad would say "good thing I am not a rat" and in the cup they went (they fizzed. A bad sign). We called them "rat poison" - as in 'don't forget to put the rat poison on the table'. The part that is NOT funny, is that he developed kidney cancer a few years ago. Luckily it was encapsulated and upon removing the kidney there were no other signs of it. I did some internet searching a while back, and guess what KIND of cancer the saccharine caused in those rats?!?!? I did a quick check again, and now most of the literature links it with bladder cancer, and then even that warning was repealed by the FDA at some point. Still, I think rat poison was an apt name for it.
