I had an older Back To Basics, and it ddin't have the O ring shaft seal at the cranking end. It also had the older wing nuts on the screens. Right now, there are so many varables thata bout all you can do is ask and find out who the strainers are attached, what kind of mounting, clamp, or suction cup, shaft seal (O ring), and fully wrapped around spatter shield. There should also be clear plastic conical shaped tube that snaps on the open end of the strainers, to allow the waste to fall out further, and not mix into the extracted pulp and juices. My current one is the VillaWare brand, and they have stopped making that name. I bought mine from Johnnies many years ago, but the link below shows the older models with wing nut screens and no waste extention tube. You need to find someone at the place your buying it from to describe the most important details I have mentioned already. With all the links and photos I have given you, I am sure you will know a lot more about these than most people. My very old Victorio was sold many years ago, and I keep the Back To Basics (has the older wing nuts) one just for emergencies should mine fail (hasn't yet!). I also bought the motor unit a few years ago, and found its almost the exact same one used on those pasta rolling machines. For tomatoes, I simply cut them into big pieces to fit into the hopper. To get a thicker sauce, I also dig out most of the seeds and liquid before they get run through. This reduces cooking time and the sauce is quite thick even at the beginning. I use the optional berry screen for red raspberries and also the 1/4 inch holed one for making a minced tomato for salsas. No they aren't stacked. In the beginning they were quiet, not so much anymore! Sounds like an airport in here when they are in the spin cycle, and shakes the kitchen table! They are downstairs, cannot imagine them upstairs. Looking at the large Elux- 4.4 cu feet, don't know the color yet, debating between Stainless, Red, or classic White. Model number varies between colors, but ewfls70J, they are on the Electrolux website. I also saw a good review of them in this forum! I like quiet, in a house of loud children. Other than that I've had no problems with the Duets. Just remember to keep the door open after each cycle, and crack open the soap dispenser, and run the clean wash cycle every so often then you will not have smell or mold issues.

Thanks all. I should see where F&B is sold and give them a try. I keep seeing wonderful rooms done in F&B and I hear it's good quality. The servant's rooms are not adjacent to any other rooms for the family living area (at the time) this one adjoins the kitchen and nothing else. I won't be doing wallpaper in the kitchen. It will generally be a white room with unfitted cabinets in a few different colors I'm thinking. But that's a bit down the road. Right now the adjoining room is done in mauve and blue flowers with little geese and hearts on the boarder...wanna guess a decade for that crap? I ordered the fabric above with some contrasting patterns (stripes and solid) as well as the paisley. I love the tones. I am totally sold on painting the wicker persimmon (now where do I find that in a spray paint LOL). I love the soft greens in the fabric and I am thinking I will do the walls with that for now then when we redo the kitchen go with the high wainscoting. I love the idea of the plate rail at 5'. But I want to make sure that works with the pine shelfs I have already purchased. They might be too high at 5' (the ceilings are 10' and the larger piece must be a good 4' plus tall). But I could also do one around the top of the room which is a nice look. My new challenge is how to hide a five or six inch cast iron plumbing drain that runs up the wall (uncovered when I started pulling wallpaper off). Do magnets stick? Maybe I could cover it with magnets LOL Ohh and on the ceiling, I have been in contact with a lovely man back east who uses antique molds (or whatever they use) going back to this ceiling (it came out of a hotel in san francisco and is in the kitchen and dining room as well but the dining room will come out). He is going to work with me to "fix" both rooms so that the tin doesn't just die into the wall. The cornice is odd...it actually looks more like a pipe cover or something because it dips down and than back up again (picture a gutter glued to the ceiling). It's just down the long walls and not on the other two so it looks like ummm maybe a bowling alley gutter upside down LOL I actually could picture using some of the morris paper in here...I have a bunch of samples I can compare to the fabric when it comes. I actually do love a few of the simple fill styles. Datura have you ever been to the fabric district in LA? If not...my dear you have to go! It's wholesale prices and blocks and blocks and blocks of wonderful fabrics. Fabulous bolts at 120" wide...silk (good quality) 120" for ten bucks a yard! Talk about going crazy....Ohh dear I think I lost her...she's probably booking a flight as we speak. heh heh
