Love it. My son would have loved this when he was little. The gifts were tossed aside and the boxes ended up built into a fort for fun and games.

If a scape has all of its buds formed when it starts blooming it is not a bud builder. A bud builder will keep on forming buds as the scape blooms. The buds tend to form a line along the scape as season progresses. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show this pattern. Also, I updated my spreadsheet and Polar Bear Express is my 100th daylily.

Moses I do not grow Polar Express, but my experience with many Kordes here is that they take a while longer than my other roses to really bloom. Like at BenT's garden they just grow and grow like beasts. After they reach their mature size (often much larger than stated)they will start blooming well. If you have the time and the space an extra year may be what it needs to improve, otherwise there are many other great roses right now that do not require all the waiting. I do wish there were more great roses in the white color range tho, I find myself having a very difficult time finding whites that do not black-spot, ball or turn unacceptably brown with thrips. If you need a replacement and do not have it yet I would strongly recommend Beverly for her great disease resistance here and solid blooming cycles on her first year.

@dianela7analabama Good Evening, Dianela,, Soring & summer my roses were all doing well. I just had Lavendar Veranda delivered a month ago and she’s leafed out nicely w/ a few blooms. However, it started raining every 3 days, 2 weeks ago. It is humid or ground is almost always damp. No BS on Lavender Veranda. She is in a very sunny spot 10+ hours sun-all day! She is on hill drains well. I don’t have it as humid as you and its not feeling humid now…. but the soil stays damp and rains too much. BTW, “New 2022-2023 Proven Winners , Houzz thread show new Reminiscent Roses. I have Reminiscent Pink & Crema and they are amazingly disease resistant!! Esp. the Crema. Neither get BS. R Pink-I saw a tad of mildew. R Crema can sit in soggy soil ( from too much rain) & grow as if it‘s no problem!-no fungus ever!!!!!
