I have one that I hunted high and low to find. After 2 years, I've come to the conclusion that I don't like it and if someone wants mine they are welcome to come dig it up. Th reasons are it looks like a palm tree and growing very slow. Leaves very small and I dont like small leaves. The fall color bites. On the plus side its drought and heat tolerant, doesn't mind being peed on and th foliage is dark green, just the way I like it. If planting options are limited there such as power or property lines, I'd use it but I could use a bigger tree in this space.

HI I'm new to this so if I don't do what I should let know please??? Ok so I am behind on posting my wants and if I am the skymaid you are looking for I just forgot to check back here. I'll get the hang of things in a while. I collect wolves, have my pink, purple, blue, white garden all planned out but yellows, reds ,oranges, etc keep popping up in strange places. I love old fashioned Victorian or cottage gardens, not too fussy where something grows asa long as it's pretty and smells good. We grow veggies too, mainly a lot of hot peppers and tomatoes for salsas and sauces. Hubby is making me raised beds because I can get down, getting up is a big problem. Let's see I have pierced ears, unshaved legs...haha...love purple, collect a lot of Native American things, colorful roosters in my kitchen which hubby says it's time to reduce the chicken coop. I write poetry, short stories, read a LOT, play Pogo and spoil the grandkids. I like surprises, love perennials, any flower actually that can survive zone 4. Most of my yard is sunny, do have some ferns on the north side of the house...love ferns and lily of the valley.

Here's a varieation on the leprechaun soup poem, to be used with Lucky Charms cereal The Leprechaun's famous for his pot of gold, If on St. Paddy's Day you are feeling lucky and bold, Then the pot holds cereal & marshmallows, a generous scoop, Which gets mixed up with milk for Leprechaun Soup

Thanks you guys. Well, I'm sorry you went to the trouble of changing your leprechaun, Speedy. I don't know if I can tackle him. His face looks a little hard to me. Yours was perfect. I may save him for next year. As you can see on this one I did, I am sadly out of practice. Crooked lines, shading not exactly like I wanted it. He is on the jar I keep my coolaid packets in and the kids love him so that's what counts, right? ha I have a little more to do on my snowmen valentines, but I may be able to finish it up today. Luvs~ (the best part is that you got him done before the holiday even) Amen to that sister!! ha Hardly ever happens with me as you well know! I'm usually at least a month behind on everything. And this is my first St. Patty's Day painted decoration. And the valentine snowmen will be my first v-day painted decoration. Need more for these holidays and Easter. Need to start on one for Easter next I think and I may actually get it done before then. Our TS has lots of wood cutouts to choose from usually and they are cheap!! I think I paid 50cents for the leprechaun. So if I mess them up or I don't like them when I'm done I'm not out much. I won't buy any unless: 1. It has the name of what it is on the bag and I look at the pieces and see if I can put it together into something. Lots of times they'll have a sticker with the book name on them too like they were bought from Michaels or Roberts already packaged. That way I can look the book up online and kinda get an idea from the picture how to paint it. 2. If it's a larger piece and I can kinda visualize something for it. 3. Sometimes they will even have a pattern marked on them....like somebody started it, but never got around to doing it. Quite a few times I have found them with the pattern and then found the actual pattern book for it over in the book section. Trust me...there are some there that I look at and I'm stumped as to what they could possibly be. 5. I will do a re-paint on something that wasn't painted that great or in ugly colors or I know I have a book for it at home. Take it home and sand it down to the original wood where the light "pattern" is left from the last paint job that I can follow, but I can change it any way I want to. The gold and the lettering were done in antique gold with a layer of Folkart Gems gold glitter paint over the top. It is clear with tiny glitters in it. It was my first time using it and I thought it was pretty neat. I still need to do the white hilights on his hat.
