Odd that a specialty "gardening" magazine would not include specific genus, species, and variety names. No, not odd. Make that lame. "Ornamental Grass"? What's that supposed to mean? There are thousands of cultivars of ornamental grasses. "Pink Yarrow"? What kind??? The flower in question is agastache, but doesn't tell us what kind. As noted above, I have never seen A. foeniculum with such long flowerheads, or so densely packed. If it is a special variety we will never know since this "gardening" magazine doesn't give variety names. Unfortunately lame gardening magazines tend to "doctor up" their scenes before photographing to make their pictures prettier. Weird that BHG would put out something so lame.

Dave, In the actual print article, those are the instructions in the "box". It just doesn't show like that online. I do agree that it would be relatively safe to do, except for the curd, which it doesn't say not to can. What gets me is the assumed knowledge. Like fill jars with set jam. How are you going to get set jam in the jar? Then, all they say is to seal with a lid. What kind of lid? What disappoints me is that newbies may following these instructions and end up with a mess, then never want to try again. Elaine

DO NOT pull it out Minnie. If you have XP there is a small icon near the clock with a left facing arrow on it. Hover over and the info will appear. Click this then click the pop up to remove, wait till it says it is good to remove Windows 7. Right click on Start right click on the thumb drive on the left side of your screen in the pop up click to eject.

After I have had the pleasure of looking through the same magazine several times, it is time to look through it one last time, writing down the information that kept me from tossing it before. Usually, it is a URL, a product or company name ... something that can be written. Sometimes, it is a photo, a recipe, an entire article, a quilt pattern, etc. that I want to keep. So I tear out just the page(s) I need. I have a few folders and binders where I store stuff like that for future reference. I like your idea of scanning photos! It is so nice to pare down and keep only what you really need. Faster to find what you want, too.
