Help installing PSP 8

I had to put in a new harddrive so having to install all my programs again.

I can't get PSP 8 to start installing.. I even went to add & remove & tried installing. I was asked for the *command line for instalation* I don't know what to put there. I have installed this before so don't know what I am doing wrong. I just hope someone can help me get it installed.

We aren't ignoring you, it's just I don't know the answer to that one?
Is it that when you slip the disc in, it isn't set to "auto run?"
Can you click on your drive to get it going?
You can also click on RUN and type in the needed info.

I should have posted that I got it installed but haven't had time to do much playing at all. I have been busy putting my computer back together..getting my apt like I want it & getting ready to go to VA for 3 weeks leaving in the morning (better than no excuse LOL) There is lots going on here so I stay a pretty busy now. It sure is different than living in the boonies of north Florida.

I went inside of the file on drive C looking & there I found an install icon. That worked for me. I never know what info to put in RUN to start a program unless it tells me & this didn't.

Hi Bev, I have Win7 on my 64 bit laptop and have PSP XII and PSP7 and Animation Shop installed and they work fine. Even though it says Win 7 is not compatible with Animation Shop it works just fine. Hope this helps. Carol

I GOT IT FIXED I finally just deleted EC 4000 & put it back on & it worked.. I tried what is in the post above but it didn't work. NOW I need a little help in PSP 8 still. I'm getting the message that my auto save is corrupt.. can I fix that? Auto save is VERY important to me as I get booted some.. quite a bit really. Also I can't figure out how to make a gradient from 2 colors in a tube. When I put it on Grad. I always get a black & white grad. Hope I don't have to delete PSP8 & start over But if I have to I will. Dar

You can see my picture of the Maltese puppy above. I continued to play with it, by adding spruce, gifts and snow picture tubes. When I was finished, I saved it to jpeg. It wasn't until I tried to email the picture to my sister that I realized the file size had grown to 612kb, with the additional picture tubes. Is this normal for a file size to increase with the addition of picture tubes or is there a step I missed? Until just recently, I used PSP 8 only for editing my pictures and knew little about the programs other functions such as layers, masks etc., so I hope my question doensn't sound too ridiculous. Judy

I'm late to this party, but have you check to see of there were any updaters/patches for this version of PSP? I haven't used this program since v1, but they used to be really on the ball. Oh wait.... Corel has hold of this program now, doesn't it? Oh well, maybe there are still some updaters out there for you to find. I added a link for one I happened to find.
