psp 8 or psp pro x

Hi, I'm Beverly and I haven't been on here of a long, long, time.I just purchased a new Dell Desktop and it is of course Windows 7 and is 64bit. I need to know if anyone who has these programs have tried to install them in the new windows and if it works, or is there going to be a conflict. I would appreciate any and all replys to this.

Hi Bev,
I have Win7 on my 64 bit laptop and have PSP XII and PSP7 and Animation Shop installed and they work fine. Even though it says Win 7 is not compatible with Animation Shop it works just fine. Hope this helps.

I emailed Corel with my problem and lo and behold, they answered this morning. I used their unistall download, which they say works better than add/remove programs. Then after reinstalling they sent me a link for updates/patches. Seems to be working fine now and so far the floppy drive is not being accessed when in PSP. OF course I have not used it yet to get photos from my old Sony, which uses a floppy disk. If I continue to have problems I will just try replacing the drive, it might just be bad. Finally a question I can answer. The program PSP was sold by Jasc to Corel, therefore a new name. Try opening PSPX, click on Toolbar and scroll to Tools and make sure there is a check there, to show the toolbar. All the tools should show up down the left side of the program including the drawing tool, which I believe is third from the bottom, and looks like a pen nib. There are drop down arrows beside some of the tools, click to see what they are. You must have an image open for the tools to be active. Urlee, For the valid psp file problem, you have to save it as a psp7 compatible file while in psp to use it in ani shop. So be sure to check the Options box in the Save As dialogue when saving in psp, and click psp7 compatible. You must also type in the extension as ".psp". I also find this on some website... If you have updated PSP to version 8.10 or newer ...Animation Shop has been added as a 'file type'. When you save, instead of saving as a Paint Shop Pro FILE TYPE, use the SAVE AS command and the dialog box will give you the option to change the FILE TYPE to Animation Shop. ...Not sure what that is, but saving as a psp7 compatible file makes it so you can open in ani shop. I also found this at this website... http://www.tech-critic.com/~progame/psp81.html Changes in Paint Shop Pro 8.01 Added full editing integration between Animation Shop 3 and Paint Shop Pro 8. You can now transfer frames from Animation Shop 3 to Paint Shop Pro 8 for additional editing and update back to Animation Shop. ...So perhaps you need to go to the Jasc site and there probably is some sort of update for version 8 that will import these fixes for you.
