new kids on the block - block update

I just just cleaning up some papers and thought I'd just check to see if everyone got all of their blocks...

I didn't get a block from Lizzy3_27...I've emailed her a couple of times but no reply - although I did get confirmation that the emails were delivered..

Otherwise, I did received all of the other blocks and I would like to say thank you so much....

I also didn't get one from her but got all the rest. I guess she just dropped out. She's not answering anyone or even mail so I hope she's alright.

Same here. I received beautiful blocks from everyone except Lizzy. I took emailed her several times but got no response. Thanks to all of you and Merry Christmas to all.

Thank you Taryn:) I had been wanting a pony for while but they are normally pretty expensive here. But this one was on sale and got it for a great price. It was pretty water logged so will have to wait to see how it does now in its new mix. I didnt feel any rot on it when I cleaned all the old soil off but the roots were having some issues. Mary

Yes, magothyrivergirl - the Patchwork Pines quilt is to be suitable for a female/girl/teenager. Our new hospital in Orange, NSW, Australia, is still being built and is due to open in 2011. So the quilting group I belong to has made the Oncology Ward at our new hospital our project. While the hospital is being built, we are all trying to make quilts to stock up. Our existing hospital doesn't have an oncology ward - all patients with cancer must go to Sydney for treatment. So the new oncology ward will treat patients all over country NSW. The last 2 years my quilts have been blue, so next year I'm aiming for pink from the Patchwork Pines and really bright fabrics from Carolina Lilies. I guess I was one of the lucky ones as I received all my blocks (and more!). They were such beautiful blocks and it was a lot of fun and I'm so glad that I was part of this little group.
But it was a bit hectic for me with working full time and all. I have decided that I would be better off (And everyone else!) if I stayed out of the birthday swaps this year. A little too much commitment for me.
Bill, could you please post a picture of the blocks you did receive? Your sunflower block was one of the ones that I was most interested in finding out what everyone came up with!

I received all of my blocks and I am now in the process of putting the quilt togeather along with some that I got from another swap. Again I would like to thank everyone and say how much fun it was sharing with each of you.
Have a wonderful holiday and enjoy it's splender. I don't know about the rest of you, but we have a very white Christmas in the offering with our 12"s plus snow.

I also didn't get one from her. I did get an email that said she would be doing it but that was back in October. Anxious to see all of your quilts. I have a few others to do before that so it will be while. Happy New Year. Deanna
