Congratulations, BigMama! Wishing you many, MANY years of healty & happy retirement life!

I'm fortunate enough to be able to retire when I'm 55, which I'll be in July 2005. DH & I retire the end of 2005, and will be moving to Central FL.

A guy we worked with, who retired 12/2001, died this past weekend at the age of 57!!!!!!!

Sigmund Freud , in modern times your Q "'What does a woman want?' might be answered. Get off the drugs, quit espousing your drug fueled opinions, get a job, support your family. As you can tell, I'm not a fan of Freud. Here is a link that might be useful: addiction

That was very nice of you to post a "Follow up" So many times, many of us here, do quite a bit of work to help an Op that posts a problem. Then they disappear without ever letting us know---"what the final outcome" was. Good feedback helps everybody, we know we are "Barking up the right Tree" with our inputs, We know how the company resolved the problem/or didnt----etc etc! Thanks Again!! Gary

Fence BLACKMAIL
Q
Comments (43)
The reason this poster felt it was blackmail, is because the neighbor is acting flaky about the whole thing, and dictating what type of fence this person has to buy. It is the whole context in this situation, and not just the property strip in question. I would take it as "blackmail" in the literal sense of how the word is defined, as well. I would not pay for a fence that was not actually on my propety. In many cases, depending on property law in that location, this neighbor could get the fence paid for by someone else, pretending to be a "nice" neighbor, at which time he could claim it as his own, because it is on his property. If I were in this situation, I would get a good survey done (as the poster seems to be doing), and put what fence I wanted on my own property. I would not consult with the neighbor further, and I certainly would not get his approval for the type of fence I was putting there. In fact, I wouldn't have anything to do with the neighbor again, beyond a polite nod.

Dealer called...they have ordered a motor, timer, and springs.. (((sigh))) they will not file a claim for a replacement washer. They said my warranty covers **repairs* not replacement unless the service tech finially says I don't know what's wrong and I don't know how to fix it...he won't say that...sooo..they will install new parts. They are correct that the warranty is a repair warranty. Dadoes what do you think... Friction ring Milk stool Base plate Pump Belt Motor Timer Springs What's left? I don't know what to think...I suppose if I'm left with a correctly working machine that will be good..but I keep thinking ...if a car is totaled than rebuilt its never the same again...wonder if that's what will happen to this washer.

Congrats, Big Mama,

and I offer my hope that you have many healthy years to enjoy it (and prosperous).

I hope that you have a number of interests to pursue to keep you busy.

As I said a while ago - sometimes we hear, "Use it or lose it", and we know that if we are confined to bed for several days, it's a bit hard to walk when we get on the floor again.

It seems to me that muscles, our body and mind and spirit need exercise to keep active and healthy.

As a number of our communities have deteriorated somewhat in recent years, I hope that you will use some of your free time to help build a healthier, happier more kindly commuity.

And nation, and world - as there are lots of problems there, as well.

Good wishes for the days ahead.

Actually, old Col. Sanders never retired, did he?

But he was doing something that he loved.

And - he was his own boss.
