To me the worst thing that will happen is you will start watering as if you are sprouting bermuda seed, but the only seed that will be sprouting is crabgrass. Bermuda seed needs hot soil, not cold soil. I would wait until the night time temps are in the 80s, not the 60s or even the 70s. Wait until the 4th of July. If the night time temp on the 4th is not in the 80s, then your area is not suited to bermuda. If you seed now and start watering, the only grass you will have on the 4th of July will be crabgrass.

For people who grow roses in a climate like mine, a medium zone 5 in the middle of Michigan, I could distill everything I think I know about spring pruning to three points: 1) Don't prune too early or you'll just have to prune again; don't prune too late or the plant will just waste it's energy trying to make new growth on damaged wood. Tax time (April 15th) plus or minus a few weeks works for me. 2) Ignore spring pruning advice given in books by people who don't live in your zone. For example, the standard advice to not prune Hybrid Teas until the end of their second year is just silly if you live in zone 5. 3) The one most important rule: Prune back each cane until you see a completely white or green cut surface across the cane, with no brown in the center (this is one case where the standard advice in rose books is correct). If your rose ends up with any canes longer than 6 inches, either you didn't follow this advice, or the winter was unusually mild, or you have some superior method for winter-protection, or your rose is exceptionally cold-hardy, or you don't live in zone 5.

I am going to go buy a fungicide from home depot to halt the spread to the healthier plants. ***** As long as you're sure it's Early Blight ( A. solani) then I'd remove and destroy all the leaves on the affected plants and then spray with Ortho Garden Disease Control, which is Daconil, on a regular basis as noted on the bottle. And while it's normally used as a ****preventive***, it can help limit the spread of disease to other plants. No, an anti-fungal can't reverse what has already started, just the spread to other plants on a limited basis and limit the shedding of spores to the soil which in a subsequent year can cause splashback infection of new plants. Daconil works by covering the attachment sites on the leaf surface so that spores of the fungal pathogens can't attach and infect. So what's already infected can't be reversed/ ***** Also, does early blight spread to the fruit itself? Yes, it can affect fruits but not that often. It can also cause lesions on the stems. I do have advice. Since your condition is on the CAL list, it should be easier for you to get SSD benefits than other people. Let me share with you some of the things which may be a bump in the road. think of your condition as disabling, a disability, and not a retirement. Sure there are tasks of your job that you perhaps can continue to do, such as sitting at a desk and checking the computer or making phone calls, but, I believe, you are unable to do the field work which may entail visiting other places, local travel, lots of walking and making decisions without a medicine clogged mind. The executive decision making and fact gathering, I'm guessing here, are the tasks affected. Sitting for short periods are ok bu not long? Dependent legs a problem? Anxiety about doing the job likely won't enter into the picture bc, as that is, it may be seen as a temporary condition but maybe not. Job anxiety may be seen as a contributing element if you are worried about your job. The fact that you are a long time employee counts.Of course, if you have debilitating anxiety in general, then that's a different thing. Moderate major depression can be disabling. SSA pays for total disability, not partial. Even tho, your first post, says that hr offered you a "very part time" position, perhaps, that may not be seen as a substitute for your challenging job, where you make decisions on facts and gather those facts. Mental disability and pain caused disability count but be honest. Think about why you were able to do your job for these many years but cannot now. What and how. What changed? A new boss does not count. A constellation of symptoms counts. The difficulty of clothing can be circumvented and shouldn't count. All that said, being on the cal list counts the most. That's the most persuasive element. does your doctor say you are totally disabled? Might you need to tell him why you cannot do your job, if he doesn't think so? the closer one gets to age 62, the ssa requirements loosen, especially for those in early 60's or late 50's.
