Outdoor rolling kitchen island

Now that outdoor cooking is all the rage, we decided to build a simple outdoor rolling kitchen island so that we can cook outside.

The goal was to have a large prep/cook/serve area. All this in preparation of a big party in a week featuring a chinese chef who had to have two very powerful propane stoves for wok cooking.

Here is the DIY solution :) Took about a weekend to put together.

1. Cabinet from IKEA- varde.

2. 4 casters

3. 3/4" Plywood top to hold the granite

4. Kashmir White (?) Granite - Prefab island countertop. 7' x 3'. We brought it home in our SUV :) That thing weighs a ton but two of us were able to wrangle it onto another cart etc. Cost of prefab - $230!! If anyone needs the source in LA, email me. These guys have prefab islands that are up to 9' x 5'!

Now I need to get a sink in there and also install a permanent cook top.
