In your reply on my post you said he was in the hospital...

How is he doing?

Have you got him home yet?

And how are you? I know how wearing that can be.

Hi Patti, thanks for asking. I brought him home about 10 minutes ago. He said he feels the same way now as he felt when he went in to the hospital. He's complaining and his appetite is good so I guess he's back to normal. Last Monday he said both arms and legs were weak and tingling and his back was hurting. They have not actually been able to find anything wrong with him that wasn't already wrong.
They did a nerve block yesterday. They gave him a walker to use at home, but he already has one of those scooters and a walker much better than the one they gave him. We tried to give the walker back, but they wouldn't take it because the doctor ordered it. It wasn't his regular doctor. I'm sure the insurance company paid for this one so I guess I'll call them and see if we can return it or if we must keep it if we can give it to someone who needs one. Anyway, Bob is in the front room watching tv so I guess all is well.

Thanks for asking...I just got home from the hospital a few minutes ago. Bob is still there and as of today they still don't know where his infection is or what's causing it. Yesterday morning they scrubbed his lungs. The doctor told me the correct word for that as he talking about scrubbing his lungs. When I got home yesterday afternoon I couldn't remember the other word. They've had a variety of specialists either question him or have him tested for various things. He has had a little bit of fever off and on, but it's not nearly as high as it was when I took him to the hospital last week. This morning his voice started sounding strange again like it did last week. He said he didn't feel terrible, but he didn't feel well either. This same thing happened about three or four years ago. He was in the hospital and they were trying to pinpoint where the infection was. They ran tests on him for three days. The fourth day he felt good, the fever was gone, and it was like nothing had ever been wrong with him. They had to let him leave the hospital that day because insurance won't let you stay if you aren't sick. :) I'm hoping we wil hear something from his doctor today about that lung scrub thing. I know they were able to take fluid or tissue samples if they needed them, but I don't know if they did so. Thanks again for asking Mallory. Linda

DH is the last minute shopper, and spends the season grumbling about the lost meaning of Christmas. So shopping is pitifully painful for him. He absolutely abhors it, and wants for nothing from anyone either. ( I know, Bah-Hum-bug) One year, he actually beamed as I was opening the 2 gifts he chose for me! I was so excited for his excitement for me, if that makes sense!!! All the family was gathered around because they all know that my poor DH just is NOT the shopping kinda guy. All eyes were on me as I opened the first gift. It was a seer-sucker bathrobe. That's not so bad, as we are in Florida and I run hot anyway, so don't need a warm, plush, heavy robe. But when I tried it on, something wasn't quite right. It took a few minutes for me to realize...this is a MAN's robe!!! No darts to accommodate the breasts, and no curve at the waist. The belt was hung at my butt-level!!! His response: "Well, the ladies robes were too cutesy-wootsie for you" (I beg your pardon?) Second gift, same Christmas! Perfume, all wrapped in the store paper.... Halston....."Por Homme" "I told them to wrap up the Halston...I thought it was for girls!" (Thanks, I was feeling pretty macho at this festive time of year.) Nevertheless, the greatest occurrence of that precise moment, was my dear brother, who howled with laughter at DH's foibles! We still look back and laugh at that one!!!! And understandably, after that catastrophic embarrassment, DH has reverted back to being bah-hum-bug...he just can't get it right! Poor thing! (I buy my own stuff and say Santa delivered it for me!)

I figured Mr G would say, "Whatever, I don't care", but no, he had opinions about it. He said no, he wouldn't want pink in our bedroom, he likes earthy colors. I pointed out that this is more earthy than the usual pink, and he said maybe just a couple of pillows mixed with the browns or grays would be ok, but hmmm, probably not. Then he said, "I'd need to see this in person, it might be completely different than on our monitor. But no, no pink." I like the color of the pink in the OP. i think it would be a very pretty and soft accent color. For me, it's more about the material and mixing it with other colors. .... it has a very natural, organic feel, which appeals to me.

Sounds like he thought she was attractive, but is afraid to say so because you will have a negative reaction. That says more about you than it does about him. Thinking someone is attractive does not necessarily mean that you personally are attracted to them. Edited to add, I asked my husband and he told me that if _he_ said it, it would mean, “She wasn’t ugly...but not especially good-looking either.”

Please keep us updated also. I hope that he is feeling like a million bucks. How are you feeling? It is so hard seeing our loved ones in the hospital. Prayers to each of you!

10 minutes ago? That's about how long it takes me to get on the computer when we get home from somewhere! LOL....DH makes a point of it everytime! Glad he's home and hope he is on the road to recovery and feeling better.
