Found a New Browser that I Really Like

I was using Firefox and Opera. I was having some issues with Opera and Yahoo, which is my main email, so I dumped Opera.

Firefox I use, primarily because I'm a moderator for our Freecycle group and it makes things a whole lot easier. However, I don't find FF as trouble-free and fast as people claim. I was having it freeze up, and it's not all that fast. But I still keep it.

I just downloaded Google Chrome this weekend, and I really like it! One thing about browsers, you can have as many as you want.

I love Opera. But I don't use the email side of it.
Hubby uses Firefox.
I also have to have IE, because some sites don't recognize Opera.

I'll have to check out Chrome.

I posted about Google Chrome a while back. I continue to be very happy with it. It is fast and simple to use, but once in a while a need a browser with more features for some sites. But as a PP mentioned you can have all the browsers you wish. I prefer Opera for reading since it has a 'rewind' button on it bringing you back to where you started with one click rather than having to flip through everything you just read.

I don't "glob" on the silicone. I do use a lot, though. In order to get a good seal, the entire surface where the pieces come in contact needs to have a layer of glue. And when using glass with deeply cut designs, sometimes the insets need to be filled. I also tend to use heavy glass pieces, and have found that a thin bead of silicone does not always hold.

Not many ads, but for a couple months, logging in doesn't work well for GP, if I log in (and get no-page-found error msg) and then go to another forum, there I am, already logged in! Weather here is just COLD and windy. We missed the big coastal snow by maybe 30 miles, just had an inch of powder which blew away overnight. This is the second time we've had powder snow instead of the usual icy mess; nice! Wind gusts to 50+ mph -- trash cans blown all over, rescued several from the hibiscus bed in the front yard. Don't know whose, 3 companies serve this street so I hope upwind neighbors come and retrieve their windblown wanderer. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!

Firefox ... another quick way also (for many things); 1.Enter about:config into the address bar and hit Enter. 2.Press the "I"ll be carefull." button. 3.Enter browser.urlbar.maxRichResults in the Filter field. Right click and edit. 4.Set it to any number of suggestions.

Laurie, how big is your room? Our living room is long and narrow, 23 x 12 and the sliding door and window are at opposite ends of the room. We put a double rod up to test different drapes with and the thin rod & small sized finials, were so small they looked out of proportion in our room. The larger sized rod is 1 1/4 inch and the larger round finial is about the size of a baseball. They give more presence over all and look like they'll be more proportionate for our room. My DH is putting them up as we speak, so tomorrow I can post a photo for you. Btw, I also brought home that adjustable rod from BB&B, it was junk and we opted not to go that route. In regards to the extenders if I remember correctly your windows were smaller than ours which is 57 inches across. If you buy a rod meant for the size of your window you won't need to worry about extenders as everything you'll need should already be provided in box.

Do you have windows xp? I tried to download it and it wouldn't complete. Didn't get the "install wizard" stuff. Help?

I have windows XP bigack. It downloaded very quickly.

I just tried downloading it again, to see what shows up.
It did say initiation failed. If I have Google Chrome running to close it. Maybe it just recognized that I have it already installed.

Maybe try again later. It's worth it, IMO

I use Opera primarily. Second one is K-meleon. That is fast, even faster than Opera but it doesn't have anywhere near the features of Opera. Occasionally I'll use Firefox but it's much slower than either of the others, although compared to the Internet Elephant anything is faster. Haven't tried Chrome yet. Forgot about it after all the hoopla over its initial EULA issues.

I use Chrome most of the time. It seems faster than IE. I use IE for the few things that don't work with Chrome.
