Just a note to folks that have recently commented that they find POP too soft to work with... after the POP dries completely - as in no longer cool to the touch - it will be VERY hard. I just tried to break a mold I no longer wanted (it had the cheesecloth imbedded into it) ... and it was very hard to break! After a few attempts I gave up. I figure it wanted to live! lol Anyway, just thought you might like to know that it indeed becomes a very strong product once it fully dries. Sorry about the pic being so big....I can't get the hang of it since DH changed things around! Anyway, yes, if you look at the side points, when sewing on a border, you will lose an exact point and it's recommended to baste around the quilt because of the bias edges. I used 6" blocks because that's what I had and didn't want to cut them down - I think it's too big...I couldn't even get the whole thing on my board! I might give it to my ex-SIL who will either be having a mastectomy or treatment....biopsy this Friday. She's an early childhood prof at her local college so maybe she'd appreciate the I Spy effect and could use it in her classes.
