I have Medallion Santa Cruz cabs. In the showroom I fell in love with White Chocolate. Once I brought it home though and looked at it in my kitchen different times of the day the color was totally different. It looked more taupe in my kitchen. "Divinity" has worked out perfect. The sample in the sun looks very white. My kitchen floors are oak and the walls are creamy beige. I think these colors reflect on the cabs and have toned down the white to a creamy white. I think you are wise to look at both paint samples in your kitchen and then decide.

Mary, thank you so much for your help. I really admire your kitchen! The cabinet color is really beautiful. It's that creamy white look I'm looking for. I also fell in love with the white chocolate in the showroom, so we'll see how it looks in my kitchen. I also like your choice of wood color on your floor. I just may copy you! Although my cabinet style will be Maple Brookhill. It's not every day I re-do a kitchen (actually, it's the only kitchen I've ever done). So, I really want to get things right. Did you have any problems with your cabinets upon delivery? I've read somewhere that Medallion uses their own trucks and has a very good quality control.

No problems with delivery. Check your hinges once the doors are on. Some of mine were not straight and needed to be replaced. I think one board they shipped to frame the fridge was the wrong size. That's all. Regarding my floors they are oak. No stain. Just 3 coats of polyurethane. (And 80years of aging...)

Mary, thanks for thinking of me! It went very well this morning with the measuring. But, my KD forgot to bring the doors! She's dropping them off sometime this weekend, or Monday. The lumber store that she's from is in the same town as where I live and work, so I can always pick them up too. I'm very anxious to see how they look! I will absolutely let you know what I choose. It's interesting, because my KD thinks I'll like the white chocolate better. Hmmmmm.
Another interesting thing is that now that my GC and KD are working together for the first time, my GC has already directed a client to use her and get cabinets from her, with him doing the construction side of it. So...everyone's happy! I hope to be ordering my cabinets this week, and now I'm really getting excited.

I picked up my sample doors today! As luck would have it, the door sample with the divinity color is on the Brookhill door style which is what I am getting! The simple door with the raised molding is in the white chocolate color, don't know the style. Below is a link showing the two doors in my current kitchen. In some of the photos I put my DH's white shirt next to the doors to give some perspective on the color. I also put my floor and handle choice next to the two doors. I have bisque appliances which I am keeping. What do you think? I'm thinking DIVINITY! I absolutely love it! Thanks you SO much for all your help!

Just a question about the cabinet at the end of your run beside the fridge. What are you planning on putting in there?
I ask, because I had originally had something very similar, thinking it would be my broom closet, but then realized (luckily in time), that my brooms would not fit in a 12" narrow cupboard.

If it's going to be a pantry, you will love it!

Yes, I am very sneaky! That 12" cabinet will be my pantry, filled with shelves! I learned that "trick" on this forum. Also, my current KD suggested it. (I've seen a few along the way). As you can see, I don't have a large kitchen, so even that pantry space will be wonderful! And, yes, Divinity it is! It's just that perfect creamy off-white I've been looking for.

Glad to hear that the decision was easy for you! Comparing your current cab color to the samples it looks like the white chocolate would have been pretty close to your current color. The Divinity will be a nice change and will look great with your appliances. If you can afford it in your budget consider a panelled DW. In a small space it can make a big difference blending it in to the rest of the cabinets. JMHO. Keep posting pics!

Mary: Yes, the white chocolate is closer to my current cabinet color. Either color would be nice, but I really like the Divinity. You're right; in the sunlight Divinity looks lighter, but definitely not white. Tonight it looks even more creamier and closer to my bisque appliances. I hear what you're saying about the paneled DW. My current dishwasher is a 2 year old Kenmore Elite and I'm really happy with it. If it wasn't so new I would defintely think about the DW panel. I'm returning the door samples tomorrow morning to the KD and sitting down with her for the final $$ total (Yikes!). I hope to order the cabinets this week, and then it's on to granite! For some reason I found picking out the handles and floor was easy for me. Time will tell if I start second guessing myself! I can't wait to start posting photos of my new kitchen! The cabinets are supposed to take 5-6 weeks for delivery. Wish me luck!
