Have you seen something similar to this red cabinet?

We're looking for a bookshelf for our den, and I've become really obsessed with getting a red bookshelf. The one I really really want is the below one from Crate and Barrel, but it is just too big for our space. Has anybody seen anything similar? I like how there is some variation to the red color. I wish that it was about 18 inches narrower. I like the height bc we want to put a bunch of books in it, but it is too wide. Thanks in advance!

I've been looking for the same type of thing but even more narrow than what you need and keep coming back to this one. It's shorter than the C&B one but 38" wide. Doesn't come in red, but that's an easy finish to do over black. If you run across one even more narrow, let me know!

Try Sundance Catalog... they always have red storage. The draper's cabinet, or stackable chicken coops. Or are they too rustic?

Holly-kay, you have hit a home run for us with the Hickory Hardware Greenwich. Exactly what we were looking for -- Length options from 4 to 19 inches, and in stainless (which we prefer), and at a reasonable price point. I spent a lot of time on line over the last year looking at knobs & pulls for our Master Bath & Kitchen remodels & do not remember seeing anything like those you show -- they are very cool. My KD suggested using the folks at the site below for assistance in finding something special. They are in the Atlanta area & I spent some time at their showroom. They were very helpful, but I wanted to compare several pulls I was considering. They have a broad selection of very nice pulls they offer at discounted prices. As well they also have artisans who can craft special knobs or pulls. There is a toll free telephone number at the top of the home page, perhaps you can email them your picture & they can help you. Thanks, Hollyspring. No, what I am picturing is shaped rather like the little baskets that you can suction-cup or hang with a hook to the side of a sink or inside the door, to hold sponges etc, but it was a pullout that attached to the interior side of the cabinet. I have a pullout basket on the floor of the undersink cabinet, but I had just a smidge too little room to use the type that has a narrower upper tier. I thought that I had seen something that could work in that little space, but can't find it now.

I'm doing the same thing to my kitchen. 1995 oak cabinets. One single wall cabinet fell off the wall a few years ago. Bought a new one from the same company, but they no longer had the exact style or stain. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them to match, even staining all the uppers. So, I sanded the uppers, painted them antique white, took the doors off and bought a Graco airless sprayer and sprayed them outside on a nice no breeze day. Took 2 cabinets / 4 doors and replaced with frame only and inserted a nice wavy type glass. The bottoms I have to replace anyway because 3 of the 9 are bad. So, going to probably buy from Conestoga Cabinets possibly Walnut and stain and finish them myself since I like to finish furniture anyway. I was at the Ikea store about a month ago and they had a red bookcase that looked smaller than the one from the first post. Now I know it would'nt be *as nice* as the one shown, but it was cute and seemed to be well made.

you may want to try DownEast Home. they have tons. i just bought one in green (they have more than green) for my home but its about half the width and 1/3 the height

jroussel - nevermind..... found it. Unfortunately we used to be in UT all the time when my son was in school there but no more. Never did see DownEast in St George, Cedar or Salt Lake but then I wasn't looking for it!

jroussel, it doesn't looke like you can shop online at DownEast Home, can you? Just making sure that I wasn't missing something. dlm, I saw that Ballard cabinet as well, and it would have been perfect if it were red. I know that I could paint, but I kind of wanted something that was already finished. I'm a bit burned out on projects right now. :)

I was at C&B yesterday and I just had to chime in that the Rojo bookcase is just gorgeous! I did not realize it was such a big piece.

Good luck! Hoping you can maybe find one in a C&B outlet or something. Or get friendly with your C&B staff and see if you can find out when they may be clearing out their floor samples.

Gobruno I was wondering if you purchased the Rojo cabinet from CB or did you find something else. I have been eyeing the Rojo, but the reviews are saying that it comes with a very strong odor that is difficult to get rid of.

You know...the design of that cabinet isn't real ornate or difficult, you may want to see if a cabinet maker or finishing carpenter can build one to size that's similar. Or check out the unfinished furniture stores. A lot of them can order things like that special order and they have the red toned stains available.

It's lovely. But if you can't, it doesn't matter. ''So anything to do with lifestyle -- clothes, food, louboutin shoes , hats, bags or pens. Things that make you feel good.
