Necessary fire breaks?

I'm finishing a cinder block basement, adding insulation, stud walls, etc. The walls, sill plates, etc. have been covered with 1.5" foam panels. Since my intention was to remodel both the basement and upstairs, I thought it would be easier to leave some space behind the stud walls to run all of the plumbing and wiring. This would also make it easier to straighten the non-plumb block walls.

As it stands, the stud walls are set off from the insulation about 1-1.5" at the top (and 2-2.5" at the bottom). There is no direct route upstairs for fire to run through, but I'm now wondering if I made a big mistake in not sealing off each stud well from the others (i.e., if you place a flashlight behind one stud, you can see the light behind all of the other studs). Did I screw the pooch as it pertains to fire breaks, and if so, what's the best way to recover (e.g., fill the space with expanding foam)?

If it matters, I'm in MD...
