The first thing I did when I saw whippiechic's kitchen was to look up the color on the devine site. Love that color. I thought you could order, but at this point, I'm sold and would love to get the Cafe and another color. Can anyone tell me where the stores are located? I'm in MD.

Here is a pic, this is current home in our much too small, very messy office.
I am sure it was Latte. However not having the paint card (already packed) I don't want to say 100%, (paint store has record of it so I can ask on Monday).

We also used the Devine paint that was one shade lighter for bath and laundry room, which I like better. I can take a picture of that room if you are interested. Headed out to dinner but had these shots already.

Very pretty, Kimberly. You think your office is crowded. We've ended up with a rolltop desk like yours, my husband's desk, my desk, and two bookcases. Needless to say, it's the most used room in the house. I'd love to get rid of our rolltop, but I checked Craig's List recently and it doesn't look like we could get much for it.

Thanks for the MD locations - looks like they are pretty close. I'll have to get there next week. I've never heard of this paint before, but so far I really like the look.

Kimberly - That's the color!! I'm trying to find something for my kitchen with crema bordeaux granite - lots of salmon and gray. My neighbor used a faint rose color on top of a beautiful chair rail, with a light gray underneath it. It really is beautiful, until you get to the line of honey/cherry oak cabinets. They really brought out the cherry and it takes away from the granite. The color in your office looks like it will go well in the attached FR. The lighter color might go well in the kitchen. Thanks so much for sharing the pics.

I am a big fan of Devine Paint -- especially as they are a PNW company and our economy needs all the help it can get! And because they now they have an eco paint option. But GAH the website is soooooooo nonintuitive. I can never find what I'm trying to point people to when I visit!

Also, I have to say that their online color representation is among the worst I've seen, ha. Generally I recommend people just buy the full range of palettes and then order test paint pouches.

You can, in fact, buy Devine online: paint palettes (actual paint daubed onto cards); paint cards (paint sprayed onto ~ 8 x 10 cards); 2 oz paint pouches (in the Delicate Wall Sheen, so keep that in mind because sheen alters color a bit); and the actual gallons.

So...aside from the test paint pouches using *real* paint vs approximations, I love Devine for the low odor and the consistency. It's VERY thick, which means minimal dripping/splatter.

I've used Behr, SW, the Kmart/Sears Martha Stewart line and there's no comparison for ME, which is why I'll pay more. Because while two coats deepens the color, I find one coat with touch-ups for patchy spots usually gives me results I like. So less paint used (aka less time spent) with less clean up.

That said, the paints were developed for our rainy/grey PNW atmosphere (HEAVY cloud cover most of the time) and I've heard people say they're too "muddy." So it's not like it's a miracle paint, ha.

So many people love the Devine light neutrals, but I gravitate towards her medium/dark shades.

msrose --thank you! This office does also have my dh' desk in it. We can't wait to move. We are so crowded here, 9 children at home, 2 adults, 3 cats, 2 bunnies, 1 LARGE dog. This has been a great, and very cute house. Time now to pass it off to another much tinier family.

About the roll top, I love mine. I bought it in almost pristine condition from a big law firm here , via antique store, (this is the city I grew up in). I love it and could never sell. I am sure you could consign yours at an antique store and get more than you could on CL.
