Dee, I like your idea of putting all the small tools in a five gallon bucket and bringing it with you. I think I am going to try my version of that with a two wheeler and a small beach umbrella. I like bringing shade with me and having a two wheeler to move something if I need it. I also have a way of using the 5 gallon bucket as a work surface while sitting on a riding seat. I had fun putting the whole thing together too. Had lots of places to put things like my water bottle, etc. I did that two summers ago and I forget what happened that I didn't last year. I could move into one of those sheds tomorrow too Dee. Might make a nice get away, right in the backyard. Bring out a cooler and a comfortable chair, a few gardening magazines...make a day of it. :-) Linda, the umbrella is a nice idea when you have to use a space that is too sunny and it helps when it rains to keep things dry if you haven't got any cover. I also made a decision to try using the garage for one season and clear out an area that would be the same size as a small shed and see how it works before I commit to having a shed. sooey, you sound pretty organized to me! pm2

Another possibility, if the stakes you need are for tying up tomato plants, is T-posts. The original poster didn't say what the purpose is but T-posts can be found up to 8 feet long. For those who are unfamiliar, they are what farmers use to string barbed wire fence. The standard length, of course is 6 feet, for a fence 4 feet high. A good farm supply store will have them. Yes, I know, not everybody has access to such a store but, again, just a suggestion. I have seen 6 ft. T-posts at Lowe's, next to the cheapo U-bent sheet metal posts. Come to think of it, those might not be so bad if a little short. Anyway, the last time I bought T-posts they were about $3 each.

Thanks David. Not sure what you meant by your last comment. There are several speed settings - maybe 3. They go up in noise as i turn the knob. I checked outside and it isnt completely closed when not running but when i turned it on and checked it outside it seems to blow pretty strong out the wide open vent. No doubt its blowing the air out! I guess that the difference between the larger area it sucks in and small area it blows out. Should the vent completely close when not operating? Don't want critters coming in.

I am confused by chijim's comments because all of the pictures that are on the walls now are black and whites and are framed in black. I think that does tie them together. I am not focused on anything on any flat surface at the moment. That is a bunch of stuff from different rooms, or is cat food to be honest, because that is where the sick cats eat. At my DR table. I never actually eat there. :) I have just been working on the wall color, drapes, and wall picture layout. At least that is what my focus was meant to be with this thread, and trying to see if the rug I have will work with it all. I feel like it is coming together in my head. We shall see what the end result is. ;) No worries Punamytsike. I don't mind the comments. It helps to hear other opinions. I can't wait to see what you do with your new spaces which will be so different from your last house. I know it will be fabulous. I think it is interesting that Chijim mentions crown molding. I have to say I was really against it, but DH voted for it, and my parents brought it up yesterday too, so I guess that is a battle I am going to lose. I just think it will bother me to have painted molding when all the other trim in the house is stained. Of course my dad said I should just paint all the trim, but the stained trim has grown on me and I don't really want to do that. If I had my way I would probably do some kind of stained funky trim, but I am sure that would not get many votes either. I think I have convinced DH to do this room next, and he just finished tiling my bathroom, so hopefully we shall see some progress soon. I will keep posting updates in case anyone is interested. It helps me to type out my thoughts too. I know orange/blue is not everyone's cup of tea, and I guess I have a quirky style.
