We watch a lot of the History Channel as well as the Discovery Channel. I like PBS shows, love to catch a cooking show of Julia Childs...she is a hoot to watch. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to catch a quilting show on PBS, I can't seem to find out just when they are showing! Deb

pillog, I hear ya about the real political candidates. Fools, bullies, and jerks. Not all, but seriously, is this the best we can do? I agree that Alicia is no worse by a long shot, but really, besides being the real power (and charisma) between her and Peter, she's just a very beautiful face. Those early years were fantastic when she was recovering from Peter's betrayals and coming up through the ranks of Lockhart/Gardner. And Will. My friend thought he was a rat, but I loved him. So did Alicia. And now that she's risen to the top and beyond, what's left that's plausible? The quirky judges and courtroom scenes are fun, but the drama's gone. It happened to The West Wing and I hate to see it happening here. Although that new guy, the one who took Kalinda's place, is really cute.

Any TV shows you're looking forward to seeing next month?

I don't think most of mine start next month, but: Homeland The Affair The Americans Rectify Billions: this one is not my favorite as I can't stand most of the actors, but I am loyal to Damian Lewis who I loved in Homeland and in The Forsyte Saga, so I will watch it. Bloodline The Fall (BBC) Gee, just typing that list out made me eager. I just rewatched all of Homeland to prepare for the next season and heard today it won't start until January :(

Are there any good bathroom remodeling TV shows , maybe on HGTV?

We suggest you start right here in Houzz. Look for pictures that fit your idea in design, save them and then take them to your local Kitchen and Bath designer so they can see your vision and guide you through the selection process of picking tile, cabinets, etc. We love these shows but they are unrealistic in the time frame they seem to show. An average time line for bath renovations is 3-4 weeks from studs to finish work. Please come prepared when it comes to looks you want so your designer can help yo realize your dream. Good luck. We are all here to help you.....Good luck.

Antiques Roadshow!

I have several items I would love to have evaluated.

I was on one done by FX channel a few years ago. They don't do that any more.

I guess, since you're asking today, I'll go with Antiques Roadshow. DD and I have tickets to go tomorrow. Maybe they'll think my 'ladies spittoon' is quirky enough to spotlight--LOL!

But normally, I'd have to say any cooking show--I do enjoy getting to cook on TV (and have, on several occasions).

I'm with Sue - Antiques Roadshow and where I am told the piece I brought in is worth thousands. LOL

When West Wing was on I could see myself on that show because I have always been active in the political machine. I loved all the characters and I would have fit in there nicely. LOL

azzalea -- Maybe you could take a camera crew over to evatex's house and you'd both be happy. LOL

Y'all probably don't really want to be on a talk show. The host doesn't want the audience to hear YOU, after all, SHE is the STAR. (ref. Oprah and all the 'hosts' on CNN who ask questions then continually interrupt cogent guests after one sentence. This leads to the guest who never answers a question, just trots out his prepared spiel.)
