I make Pizza and My Hands Smell -- How to make kitchen soap
Comments (6)No doubt- we are born at the right time to be good cooks! Now, to be more specific about my liquid soap. Any unscented liquid base will do. I use Dr. Bronners's unscented liquid soap, which I order, in quart bottles, from drugstore.com. I add 1.5 tablespoons spearmint Essential oil to a quart.(I also add a couple of glass marbles to the bottle, to help the oil to mix in.) I get my spearmint EO from Brambleberry.com. They also sell liquid soap base in gallon bottles. This may be better for you, since I imagine you will need larger quantities than I do. I hope this info is helpful....See MoreAny left-handed people?
Comments (22)I guess we write the same way as you do, 'cause y'all can read what we say, right? snork! I turn my page nearly sideways, top to the left, & curl my hand over the top; it's the only way, I think, to position my left hand so that I'm "pulling" the pen just as all you righties do. My grandmother found it difficult to write, & her handwriting was painfully crabbed; she had been "changed". My 1st grade teacher never mentioned lefthandedness, & by the end of that first year, I was writing up a storm. My 2nd grade teacher mentioned it only once; although that was over 40 years ago, the episode was so scary that I still remember it. She was mortified to see that I was using my left hand & "gently" put the pencil in my right hand & *begged* me to "try". couldn't do it. She looked at me with a martyred expression & sighed & shook her head & went on to help someone more normal, accepting the tragedy that was me. She was about a hundred years old (hair coiled into a braid on top of her head, granny glasses from before they were "in", etc), & she still thought that lefthandedness was, I don't know, a sin or a disgrace. not even a disability, but something really shameful. I think that the administration must have instructed the teachers to leave lefthanders alone, or she would have tried to change me. so here I am, lefthanded as I can be, ever grateful for Mrs Marx in first grade. She taught me to read, which has served me well & has brought me much pleasure, & how to write, which has been a joy in my life....See MoreLeft/Right/Center & Related Hand & Faucet Questions
Comments (26)Fori - that makes sense. Since I generally use my right hand now, to turn on/off the faucet, I imagine I might just keep doing that. Right now, my handle is on top of the faucet, and it's like that for a lot of the new pull outs I've been looking at, too. Happyallison - I've also been disappointed with the big boxes, though I did recently replace two bathroom faucets & a shower head from the local big boxes, and I've been pleased with those. Mostly, it's the pull functions that haven't worked as they should at the big boxes. Plumbing supply is a super route to check out! Funkycamper - Maybe I'll ask my GC & KD if they have recommendations for plumbing places to check out. My only concern is that they might try to steer me into buying from them, and I'd like more varied options. The place you ended up sounds ideal! You don't know if they have other locations, by chance?...See MoreMore Houzz action in the upper left hand corner
