Oh, boy! This is going to be an interesting thread. I have been saving pictures for inspiration, and I have loads of them, but probably the ones that will get done first are:

(1) a stack 'n' whack for which I have already cut out the pieces for the hexagons

(2) a 4-patch kleidoscope

(3) something using muted pinks and greens

(5) something all in shades of blue and off-white

(6) something with a cat theme, but don't know which pattern
I would use, if any.

(7) something along the lines of Mexico Marti's Mexican
tiles quilt, whose colors are to die for, and for which
its designer, Quiltdiva, kindly let me have the pattern.
The trouble with this one is that a large part of the
charm of 'Mexican tiles' lies in Marti's quilting. I
don't know if I could even make myself hand-quilt a big
one like that, and even if I could, I could never reach
Marti's heights.

(8) I am also drawn to 'the bountiful quilt' with all its
circles, but I would surely be tempted to meddle with
the colors and not be able to stick to the brown paper
bag approach for selecting them. There is also the fact
that it requires a lot of appliqueing and I am not
"into" that.

(9) a variation on New York Beauty

I look forward to seeing what the rest of you have in mind.

Lately I've been drawn to two color quilts: blue and white and red and white. Why red? Nothing in my house would go with red. Blue is my favorite color and I'd like to do a dark blue bear's paw on a white muslin background.

Or maybe I should do a pink and white quilt? That would certainly go better with my decorating style (if I have a decorating style - lol).

I have a lot I would like to make and I have a lot of pictures around here to inspire me but these are the top two on my list.

1. Pineapple quilt- I have the pattern and material all I need now is the TIME!
2. Grandmother's flower garden

I have a list on my bulletin board - it keeps getting longer! Mostly I want to make more quilts to donate - especially miniatures for Ami Simms' Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative.

Geraldine - I made Shakespeare in the Park earlier this year for my niece's HS graduation gift. I did it in greens, blues & lavenders. She loves it and took it off to college with her!

Donna, right after I posted this thread, I decided to look at some earlier threads.The first page I picked was page 32 and I found the picture of your Shakespeare quilt. I hadn't seen it before as I didn't join the forum until July. Absolutely gorgeous and the quilting is beautiful. I agree with the others-it really is a WOW!! quilt.

One quilt I would like to make, but haven't yet is a Cart Trick quilt. I've just never gotten around to it, but I think I'll do one next (after quilting my double irish chain, and friendship quilts).

If that's CARD Trick, I just made it month or 2 ago, in a paper pieced version, very cool. (Anita Grossman Solomon's Make It Simpler Paper Piecing. Very exacting technique on vellum but makes for crisp, precise results.)

I want to do a blue and white,a red,white and black,and i want to do a pastel one with just 2 1/2 " squares of every pastel i have and can find,kind of scrappy.I'd also like to do Eleanor Burn's jewel box(think that's the name) in brights.

I also want to finish my list of wips.I love doing the tops,i just don't really like putting them all togethe because of the space problems to lay them out.

UNTIL I SAW DONNA'S, now I have to make one.
I am currently hand quilting Kay's (quiltdiva) Mexican Tiles quilt that Marti from Mexico created and posted a pic. Mine does not compare to Marti's hand quilting but the design Kay so generously gave to anyone that asked for it does make a gorgeous quilt.
I miss our talented quilting friends and their inspiration.
I ordered StarSpin from Oregon Treasures and I made a trial block that turned out terrible, so of course that is on my to do list.

I'm like Kathy-Mdgd. I have made tops and put them aside to finish up later. My list gets longer all the time but since I only do wall hangings, I might actually make a few during the housebound months. Among them:

A chicken quilt for the kitchen wall
A daffodil pattern I saw in a magazine
A sunflower pattern quilt
A wallhanging pattern I have with poppies appliqued over a strip background
Finish my Grandmother's Flower Garden which is always ongoing as it travels with me in small bits
My black and white stripped pieced bits I've never put together, to which I'll add a touch of bright
A Hannukah hanging with 8 pockets for a small granddaughter (which I hope I can do well since I'm not Jewish)
And, the piles of Xmas patterns I hope to get to in time to use for gifts.

I wish it were only 3. I plan on doing the Home Run(baseball quilt) for my GGson, I would like to do a blue and white, and something scrappy. I have a wall of fabric that needs to be put to use. I bought some flannel on sale that I hope to put into a rag quilt and I want to make a lap quilt for my elderly neighbor. I am working on a stack and whack lap quilt after being inspired by the Kliedoscope pictures. There is no end to inspirations. Jayne

For years, I have been collecting quilt ideas. Some came from magazines, some from the internet. Lately, I have begun weeding out the ideas that are just not ever going to become a quilt of mine. That makes it easier to look at the rest.

Here are my top three "dream quilts":

1) Home Sweet Home (Blackbird Designs) -- I have begun to pick out the fabrics. I need to do auditions in order to finalize each piece. I have not begun to cut out freezer paper templates.

2) Baltimore Album -- Still just in the dreaming stage, but I made one Oak Leaf and Reel block, just to see how it would go.

3) Anything with an elaborate, appliqued border -- I think I'll do that for the 30's Four Patch set on point, which I've already begun. I have a pattern for a floral border that I saved from Quilter's Newsletter.

All of these involve applique. I think I have fallen in love with hand applique. I can work on it nearly anywhere.

It's hard to narrow it down to just a couple, but a Baltimore album quilt, a New York Beauty, and a Lone Star are among the top contenders.

Pirate Girl, yes, I meant CARD Trick! I think my typing finger "stumbled"..lol!

The quilt that I've always wanted to make is Tumbling Blocks (definitely the strip-pieced method, with no inset seams). I have been saving polka-dot and dotted swiss fabrics.

I have a bug jar quilt started, and have a great pattern for paper-pieced critters to complement the pieced blocks. I'm a little intimidated by paper-piecing, so that will be my next challenge.

I have fabrics ready for a Hayes Corners quilt, it's a simple design with a nice optical illusion of overlapping shapes.
