Oh y'all, it has been a wonderful day! Started out with plans to meet Tracy, middle daughter, for lunch, but when I got there my other 2 daughters, one from out of town, were there, as well as my best friend. Total surprise!!! We ate at this really nice little French cafe, downtown, that specializes in crepes. Did a little shopping afterwards at Mast General Store anad another little shop downtown. Had a bunch of phone calls, emails, got cash,(my favorite shade of green), gift cards and some nice gifts. This was not the year for mulch..lol I never dreamed turning eight "0" would be so much fun! I forgot to mention my birthday dinner. I chose to go have barbecue ribs with Bob. I don't usually do cake so a simple dinner. He has had some serious health issues so glad he felt like going out. Our youngest grandaughter was married this past Sunday, near Nashville...outdoor wedding in 98 degree weather and he had to miss seeing the ceremony. So in ways this was a stressful week but much better now. DD's Tracy and Lu are taking me to lunch today and DS Richard has already planned for midweek, so "the beat goes on". jude

Thanks for the birthday wishes! This is the 5-0 birthday for me and it's just hard for me to believe it! After yesterday though, I'm FEELING it! LOL The house my boys lived in when they were in college is going on the market today so I was over there painting the kitchen cabinets and staging the bathrooms (cleaned them spic-n-span first). Oh my, I have soreness in places I didn't even know I had places! It probably didn't help that I came home and practically guzzled a bottle of wine while in the hot tub! So I guess 49 went out with a bang and 50 is coming in with a whimper. :-)
