Ann Sacks Popularly Priced Glass Tile Question
Comments (4)I've used AS on 2 jobs and been around and around trying to find alternate tile, cheaper tile, similar tile etc. Both contractors recommended several other places but I wind up going with AS as they always have what I want and delivery time has been reliable. Ordering custom pieces with them can be tricky, however. Sometimes, even if you have the time to spend chasing down an alternative things like delivery, quality control and shipping can eat up the difference. If the job is on a tight schedule, as my last one was, I needed the reliability. I wouldn't hesitate to use/recommend them. Having said that, Country Tiles also has a gorgeous glass tile range....See MoreNew dimensional tile from Ann Sacks
Comments (3)I just recently found dimensional tile after seeing a spread where the raised ovals were set vertically in a kitchen. Those are really cool. I think I need to get a job to afford all these upgrades my house needs!...See MoreTile similar to Ann Sacks Nottingham?
Comments (3)I have not worked with them a lot but I am not aware of any seasonal sales or any discounts--at least at the typical volumes. Maybe at hundreds of square feet or something. Generally it has to be purchased through a designer, although there are probably places online that can get it for you, so I don't know if they consider their pricing retail....See MoreTile Question - Ann Sacks
Comments (5)Above a certain price point, you are definitely paying for style. And Ann Sachs tiles are beautiful and do have unique styles. Really it depends on your budget. When I did my remodel (two bathrooms and a kitchen using tile and marble), I ran the differential costs between the tiles that I loved and the ones that were just okay. There wasn't enough of a difference for me to not go with the choices that made my heart sing. It's really everything else in the long run which drives up costs - like expert installation so it just wasn't worth it to scrimp on the tiles when they were actually a small percentage of the total cost of my remodel. Now there is of course a rule of reason as I didn't get the $150 per square foot Motawi tiles :-) but I did spring for a very expensive marble Art Tile which I used as a decorative element in my shower so that was a form of compromise. :-) I am splurging on tiles for my balcony as I had my heart set on Malibu Art Tiles in terms of a look. They were expensive but nothing else I contemplated made my heart sing and I know I will get pleasure just looking at them every day. I get lots of pleasure when I sit in my bathroom and look at the tiles and other aesthetic choices I made - but I spend a lot of time looking at tiles in my shower and enjoying the view :-) Looking back at my remodel I don't regret my more expensive choices at all. However, they were something I could afford since I was funding from savings and had enough in savings so it was a question of whether I wanted to get tile X or spend the money on some other discretionary item....See Morerococogurl
