jet mist counter, white cabs, help with backsplash?

Sorry to post another "which backsplash should i pick"...

but i'm not a designer and usually need help with these things. Looking for any suggestions or ideas.

I thought i wanted color - something like a seaglass tile. Now i don't think i want to be tied down to anything and think i want just white 3x6 subway tiles. (*side note - I saw ones in HD that i like - do the Ann Sacks ones really look better?)

For the area above the cooktop, below the range hood, i saw square marble-looking tile that i liked, but now i'm wondering if i shouldn't do anything with "movement" in it, since the jet mist has movement in it. Should i keep it just white? do a design? is something with movement okay or should i stick with solid with the jet mist?

the only pop of color will be a small area above the sink, and above teh range hood, that will be painted BM Nantucket fog to match the adjoining dining area. (and some colorful items i've put in the glass cabs.

any advice, feedback, suggestions, appreciated! if i can figure out how to, i will post a pic.
