Thank you, weedy! That was helpful to see... MrsLimestone's bathroom is beautiful, and the shelves work well for her. I'd really like the bigger faucet though. I'm starting to think I need to reassess the sink - I'd like to find a wall-mount sink that has enough space behind or to the sides of the faucet to stash a couple of items so I don't need the glass shelf. Then I can fit whatever faucet I like. I wonder if such a sink exists... OR get one of those small marble or granite counters on metal legs (no vanity) with an undermount sink. That would give me lots of countertop room (at the expense of a smaller sink bowl). They're really beautiful, but expensive! I was just quoted $800 for the legs and $600 for the countertop today. (The sink was mercifully cheap at under $100.)

jewel, I think it might be the lighting, because our Mannered Gold "in real life" appears a bit darker and richer than the Blonde, but still complementary to the Blonde. The photographer who took these shots was taking pics for a homebuilder's competition and was using all kinds of lenses and things, so color might appear a bit off, or "pea colored." That being said, I initially purchased a sample can of Mannered Gold to try in the front guest bedroom and did not like it all. However, love it in the bathrooms and foyer.

Here is ours at a 15" bar sink. It's insta-cold with chiller, but same thing as insta-hot with heater as far as fit and clearance go, so it will give you the same idea. I don't think there's any particular issues to worry about as far as sink shape and faucet type as long as you pick a single hole faucet. Good luck and have fun with your new kitchen!

As a friend for Jim's statues I have the following from Constance, Germany. The story I heard was that a renown local sculptor was asked to make something for the waterfront by the city council. He agreed with the proviso that he could make whatever he wanted, and they would have no right to withdraw their approval. They agreed and got the following which stands on a slowing rotating platform on the edge of Lake Constance The statue supposedly depicts a "courtesan" from history who reputedly had the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and the Pope, figuratively, in the palms of her hands. The naked, wizened, shriveled figures in her up-stretched hands are wearing a crown and a pope hat respectively.
