Hey Pam, way cool, I'm just 2 mi. from the Middlebury exit on 80/90...lemme know when, I'll hang out the flamingo and serve up the fatted salmon...should have lots of asparagus about then, too. The pool is usually open the first weekend of may, if you're a walrus like me. ;~)Pretty sure i have my email available, but if not it's screen name plus verizon.net Well, i wasn't fishin' for birthday wishes, but since they jumped in my net, i'll take 'em! Thanks!...today is THE day, happy St. Paddy's to everyone...i got the best preent i could get, it's supposed to hit 72 today, with lots of sun...WOO-HOO! Hey suzy! Oh, I'm pretty wishy-washy..you just mostly know me in my manic phase, that fish swimmin upstream...and i DO like to argue/debate, but mostly i go with the flow.. I'm mildly superstitious, though in a Jungian kinda way, that whole synchronicity thing. And if my grand-girl has a baby at the same age i did (21), she'll make me a great-grammy at 65! My strawberry girl...she loves my place, I have strawberries, mulberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries...one day her mom told her they were going to gramma Whim's in Middlebury, and she said, "Oh, I LOVE middleburies!" But I digress... I'm surprised i never heard that about OBL before. I'm not all that into the horoscope thing, I think it's more about the time of year you're born...that said, it's pretty weird that 3/4 of the men i've had a serious relationship with were Taurus. Blueheron, my divorced daughter's new beau is a Pisces, she's SUCH a Virgo, they seem to have a good relationship, though they bicker constantly like me and Kelly do...very argumentative signs. Janis g...i really do think that describes a lot of Pisces...now if i only had some motivation to go along with those dreams and artistry...I AM a nurse by profession, so i guess that counts for caring ;~).

While I popped open some champagne last night, I don't feel all bouncy and happy this morning. Maybe that's because I popped open the champagne last night. Or maybe it's because now the media has another excuse to push 9-11/9-11/9-11 down our throats. Funny, our parents and grandparents never celebrated Pearl Harbor Day, but now 9-11 is some kind of national holiday. Some idiot news station actually rebroadcast scenes from the streets of NY from ten years ago. Please. The streets of Boston were full of young people rallying and shouting. I thought the scene was weird because they were all so young. I mean, I understand that someone who is able to walk to Boston Common at midnight on a Sunday is probably going to be a young person, but looking at the video I kept thinking, 'You people were only 10 years old. What do you know?" Military folks, I could see, but these were just college and post-college kids.

I knew Marlen from another site. I used to have several years worth of her yearly Fourth of July stories. She was a special person whose death came way too soon for lots of us. Her writing was both funny and nostalgic...she sure could make you proud to be an American.

9/11 was definitely a turning point, and a new normal has not yet been found. Interesting to see the ideas of an individual not emotionally connected to the event or the area following it. I think I keep my handbasket ready.
