U a Spamer?

Me, me, me, me, but haven't had in 7 years :o(

Fried spam and mayo on rye is my favorite.

When my DS lived in NC, I'd always make myself a fried span sandwich while traveling.

See on news that Spam is on the up and up with the tough economy, cause it's so cheap.

Love it, but know it's not good for the body.

My MIL used to make Spam mac and cheese casserole. Loved it.

Anyone a Spamer?

Nope!! Never had it and hope to keep it that way! LOL

My Uncle Gene at the nursing home said he grew up on it and could still eat it til he makes himself sick! He loves it.

I saw that article in our paper up here too...

    Lite Spam is the pits!

Every now and then, although it is rarely, some Spam & Eggs. Problem is that the can is just too much for me. But they do have the 1/2 cans out now too so I could try that I suppose. I do like to keep a can of the Spam Turkey around for the times I want to throw together a quick pasta salad on a hot summer day.

I saw on the news how well Spam and other lunch meats are doing with the economy so rough.

Yepper, I like mine sliced real thin & fried crispy with mustard!! Have it a few times a yr! Yummie--Geez, why don't I have it more often?

Haven't had any for a while, but I do like it.

I have made Spam Balls for a party. I don't seem to have the recipe any more, but it is more or less ground Spam, mayo, chopped onions, maybe pickles or what have you. Serve with crackers. Surprise all your friends!

Yes...and when I tell just about anyone that I like it ...They go "ewwww."...If it's so "ewwww"...why is it the number 1 selling canned meat? ( So I read once) Everyone can't afford Ham...ha
I like it now and then, crispy fried, lot's of mayonnaise on white bread.
Go on Glenda, enjoy it...you look healthy enough to withstand a few sandwiches.

    ashli, thanks for the compliment!

We haven't had it since we've been married....Denny being a military man before we were married had all he wanted of Spam for a life time he says...

When we were young my aunt would slice it and fry it for a meal...

One can went a long way.

I think I sort of liked it...can't remember for sure anymore.

I haven't eaten it since I was a kid. We used to love fried spam sandwiches with Miracle Whip on Wonder Bread for lunch. If we begged long enough we'd get canned pork and beans on the side. There was always a fight over that one little piece of fat in the beans.

I like sliced fried Spam for breakfast once in a while. My Mom used to serve it sliced thick for dinner.

I rather enjoy it ... but seldom have it.

Have you heard Monty Python's song about spam?

I think that those guys may have been in the military and had more than they appreciated.

I haven't authoured much over the internet, either.

    But I've received plenty!

Can send some to you, if you feel deprived!

How would you like to help someone move somewhere between 10 and 25 million, maybe even more, out of Africa (or one of a dozen areas)?

Ate a lot of it when I was single. Easy and cheap (not me, the Spam)). Now it's too salty for my taste.

Like Patti, I don't buy it. My Dad had all he could stand during WWII and he banned it from our house. I still don't ever buy it, although Jammer does dream about it at times. He loves it fried with gravy. Ewww! Guess I'll buy some to surprise him, but I will find something else to eat!

I saw that on the news too Glenda. But Spam is bound to go up like everything else.

A couple of years ago, we were headed from St. Paul to Rochester, MN -taking back roads. We were approaching Austin, MN and started to see signs for the Spam Museum. STOP THE CAR, we have to visit!!! And we did. Believe it or not, it was pretty interesting, and they had a gift shop with Spam items galore. Put this on your list of things you should do once in life!

I don't care for the canned meats.........Spam,Viennas,pork and beans. They just taste weird to me.

But, I know Spam is popular and many people love it.

We almost always have a can in the pantry - DH loves it - I do too if it's fried thin. I like to fry it and then make a grilled cheese sandwich with it.

Now I'd love to see that Spam Museum!!

Hey Patser, my DS and friends made it a goal to go to the Spam museum in high school. They did it, can I say they proudly called themselves the Nerd Squad? DS then owned a dark blue car that he hoped to turn into a living Spam can to drive in parades. Sadly ;), the poor car died and had to be replaced.

My husband loves it, and used to take it on the boat all the time. I don't eat it.

We always have fried spam on campouts. Love the crispy edges, and it goes so well with eggs.

My mother sliced it thin and fried it, and I remember liking it. I haven't eaten it since I was a kid because there are so many more things I like better.

They have Spam in little single serve packages now - it is just a slice for $1. I have seen it at Wal-Mart. I even had a coupon for a free one!

I like a chunk of spam, a hunk of cheese, and a green olive, on a toothpick. That is high class hor's devours you know!

Spamburgers are being advertised on tv, right now. Sure looks tasty!

Can't stand the stuff. We had it in the school cafeteria in grade school & I always skipped eating there that day & brought my lunch.

    Yep, I'll eat it occasionally.

I admit it - we eat the stuff. I buy the "lite" (sorry Glenda), put some brown sugar on top with a little liquid (diet coke - whatever I'm drinking) and bake it in a covered dish.

Spamer here! It is part of my Hurricane kit too! Thin sliced and fried crisp with Mustard/Mayo, lettace.

I like "potted meat", vienna sausage, and beanie weinies all in my Hurricane Kit. If the Hurricane don't get me, the gas well. LOL!

We have Spam once in awhile.

It wasn't something we regularly had here, but the times I've had it I didn't mind it. Just a bit mushy and salty and if it is cold I don't like the jellied bits LOL.

But as a rule I don't mind canned ham flakes, I guess that is the same thing. I mash it then have it on bread with mustard. Especially good with grainy mustard and buttered bread.

Yummy! Spam sandwiches, fried of course. Also with eggs! Love, Spam and scalloped potatoes. That's a regular around here.

Yep,we love Spam! I saw that on the news too and about choked when they said the average price was $2.69 a can! I paid less than $2.00 here a couple of weeks ago.I need to check Wally World and see if it has gone up and if not stock up.I make grilled spam sandwiches.Slice it and pan fry till crispy then put it on two slices of wheat bread that has been spread with mayo or Miracle whip (I like M/w myself) top with cheddar cheese, butter sides and toast in a skillet.MMMMM
I use to make Spam salad for sandwiches by grating the Spam then adding sweet or dill pickles an mayo, like making ham salad. My kids loved it.I guess I have fixed it just about every way possible.Sprinkle with brown sugar,or a little honey,or barbecue sauce or even pancake syrup and bake it.Slice, dredge in flour and "chicken fry" it.Cut in cubes and add to Mac and cheese a salad or potato salad. You name it,I've probably done it!LOL

As a child in a family of 7, we were poor growing up and Spam was a constant at that time. Mom used to fry it or slice it up right out of the can for sandwiches. I only ate it fried because it drowned out the taste.

From the moment I left her nest, I forbid Spam to enter my doors. I hate that stuff and would rather eat ANYTHING else before putting that in my mouth -- and I mean anything.

Do I like Spam? I think you know.

No Spam for me. I have never cared for it.

Spam is very popular in the Hawaiian Islands......our friend used to make us Spam sushi and Spam rice balls to take with us to the golf course.
We haven't had any Spam at home for years....way too much salt and fat for us.

I always keep a small can on hand and I fry it for breakfast. I can only eat it sliced real thin and real brown. Love it in a sandwich with Miracle Whip.
