Dark and Light Wood Floors Adjacent to One Another

Help! Our kitchen is coming along quite nicely (although you wouldn't know it if you came into out house). We have decided and ordered cabinets (Medallion Vintage Morel), decided on and ordered our granite (Butterfly Green), and have most of our appliances/sink (stainless steel and are installing a stainless apron sink).

Here is the deal -- what to do about flooring?? The entire rest of our house is a light/honeyed oak hardwood. In a vacuum i love Brazilian Walnut and it would be so striking, but i have read a lot against adjoining light and dark wood floors. I have scoured the internet for an example picture but have come up with nothing. Our other option is tile, but i rather have wood floor under my feet.

Help!! As soon as i figure out how to post pictures, I will show you what we have so far and so you can see what color wood we have now. Our options are

1) try to match the wood

2) brazillian walnut, and

3) tile

I appreciate any feedback and pictures!

Thank you!!
