I liked all three who were left--but I can't say this was any sort of surprise. Randy slipped and said something (wish I could remember exactly what it was) about a month ago, that totally pointed to the finals being between these two. I told my dd then, that those would be the finalists, and she didn't believe me--she does now, LOL!

I was a little disappointed, but nothing surprises me anymore about that show since last week. I thought she pulled off a great exit.

She did pull off a great exit but I think she was shocked at first when she lost. She just had a stunned look on her face. I love her voice but they can't all win.

She was very ungracious to Lauren when her name was announced. Lauren at first didn't know whether to approach her or not.
She recovered, but not soon enough.

I agree, she did look pissed. The two I was hoping for are in. I think he'll take it all.

Haley just doesn't come across as a nice person. She couldn't take critisism from the judges, and argued back with them. Then she stood there stunned when she got booted, forgetting her manners with Lauren.
She figured she was a shoe in.
Her screaming in the songs just gave me a headache.

I am so glad Haley didn't win. Her expression when Lauren got in the top two and she didn't says it all.

We both said man that girl is P-$$edoff! her face wow not very attractive. I thought last week her actions spoke volumes when she did what she did to the judges, not a good way to start off a new career when you NEED those kinds of friends in the industry.

The 2 that won were very gracious and appreciative and surprised. I think they deserved it. They are both very young though which could be hard on them but I think both sets of parents are very grounded and will hold the reins on them, both are very spiritual too.

I feel sure there will be lots of pictures of that face Haley had, wonder how she will respond.

I was so glad to see Haley gone. She clearly thought she was going to be in the top 2 and was very upset when she got voted out.

DH and I picked Scotty and Lauren as the top 2 from the 1st audition.

Interesting how we all interpret her reaction differently. I texted my husband the result last night and added that she went out as a class act. I thought she was very gracious and thankful to have had this opportunity, she held her composure, exhibited maturity -- and I think she knows (and maybe even by not winning) that she has a successful career ahead of her.

Maura, I think it was just her initial reaction. She had a look of shock and disappointment... after the first minute she regained her composure and I thought she went out very well.

I agree with lydia1959 but I think it would be hard for anyone to control in that situation. She's a beautiful young lady and I loved her voice. I just like Scotty better. I'm anxious to see how he will turn out in life. Since I first saw him I thought he could become a country superstar. Last night I was thinking that I hope it doesn't ruin him. I hope he stays a good person and doesn't fall into alcohol and drugs like many stars do. It seems that his parents want this for him. I wonder if Elvis's parents would have wanted it for him if they had known how he would turn out.

Well in spite of a season full of talented and different people America managed to pick the most white bread, karoke singing robots in the bunch.
