Has anyone done this?
Comments (19)cawfeegirl, I'm going to say the same thing here that I said in the other post. You are supposed to love the granite you install. If you're still not sure, it's because it's not the right one for you. Wait until your cabinets are installed or take a door sample to the yards with you. Go in without any preconceived ideas about what you're wanting and when you see the right one, you'll know it. What I wouldn't worry about is if a granite that you like, truly like will look dated. IMHO that term is way over used. Now a days, people can't afford to update every couple of years and I think trends and styles are going to be hanging around for a lot longer than they used to. I wish people would put more emphasis on using designs, styles or elements that just make them happy as opposed to worrying about how dated they may be....See MoreHas anyone done this?
Comments (4)Not exactly what you requested, but this is one I loved that had those colors. Hope this helps... Here is a link that might be useful: Jan's Kitchen...See MoreHas anyone done a brown and the steely blue tree?
Comments (12)Just got back from target. I bought some things from the one collection they had. It had sort of an outdoor theme with deer, woodsy stuff etc. I mixed in some silver and pearl like ornaments to give it more of a refined look. I hope. Here are some not do good pics of what I got. I have more than one of the stuff. I just got out one of each to give you an idea. I do need another garland and more of the blue like bulbs. Here are the lights. They have three types of bulbs on each one. One is fauceted, one is kind of sparkles and one is pearl like. You cannot tell much in the picture though. They are round. Lighted Tree Topper, one of the deer that they had in three positions, one of the blue bulbs. I got three blue bulbs, I'd like about 3 or 4 more to add more color, or I am going to have another silver tree. They also had some glittery frames. I have some great pictures to put in there of my girls on an old fashioned sled. More of the ornaments. I love the huge silver ball with the blue glass flowers on top. They only had three. I think I'll need 2 more. Here is my silver tree waiting for it's tree topper that should come tomorrow. This had magenta bulbs on it last year, but we are making it into our snowflake/silver and white tree. My girls wanted a "snowflake tree". :) This is our family tree!! It is mainly ornaments from vacation, ones the girls made and ones we make each year as a family at a local Paint your own pottery studio. Although it is the least pulled together tree and has no theme. It is our favorite. DD1 said it needs a lighted tree topper "in a bad way". Hehe. Getting one tomorrow. ;)...See MoreHas anyone done Amway?
Comments (27)We knew someone who tried to get us involved a few years ago. We did go to one of the introductory meetings. The others are right when they describe the people involved as pushy. That was our experience also. The Amway people seem especially pushy. I've had people ask if I wanted to sell for some other companies. Once I said no, that was the end of it. The Amway guy kept trying even after we said no. Amway made these huge promises of how you could quit your day job & become rich selling Amway. While there may be a very few people that achieve that, most don't. The ones who really make the money are those who are able to recruit people to work under them. That is especially true in a company like Amway that's been around for so long. I do know several people who sell Mary Kay & Pampered Chef & make some extra money to help out every month. Of all the people I know who sell for various companies, I don't know anyone who has actually been able to replace their job income with sales from something like this. There is usually a monthly minimum sales volume that must be maintained. It's in the fine print of the contract. If you are only going to use these products personally & won't be selling to friends/family, you will likely end up paying a lot for these items. There are plenty of alternatives to Amway products.
