vataal has been missing as well!

I really miss Stacy aka can't remember her user name. We helped raise her kids and now they have kids - wish she'd come take a seat and tell us about her family.

Another that I miss is Stephanie and her Grant and Cameron stories - wish she'd bring the kiddos and let us hear about them.

We don't hear from Jenn, their Gramma, anymore either.

Stacy, grinch gut, is busy daily on Facebook.

I wish Stacy would stop by here - I don't 'do' Facebook.

Another gal I miss is Sandy in Iowa.

What about StoneyBaloney? I loved hearing about all of her dogs....big and little and seeing pics.

Kay, Stacy has been busy taking care of her DH. He had an accident on the four wheeler a few months ago and broke his back. They cleared him just a day or two ago to go back to work. The dr was very pleased. First time he's ever been able to release someone with that type of injury so soon. And, unfortunately, today someone hit one of her dogs and killed it.

Sandy is busy with little Jackson, who isn't so little anymore! I'll let her know she's missed.

Thanks for the note Tami. I sure miss some of you guys also. But, I just got sick and tired of the griping/back biting/nastiness that goes on here. Hopefully some of the nastiness will GO AWAY....I do check in once in a while...but just can't stay.

Kay she thought he was in the house with the others. He followed her to the highway without her knowing it. I don't know any other details except it was a hit and run. Stacy takes good care of her pets and they all are devastated.

Tami, I figured it was an accident - but just wondered how it happened. I 'know' Stacy, and know she wouldn't intentionally put her dog in harms way. I hope it wasn't sweet little Izzy!

The Kitchen Table Gang on FB I have checked out and I don't see all these people posting there at all... just a couple of people seem to post at that site.

Nobody said that they posted at the Kitchen Table Gang. They can be on FB and not be members of the Kitchen Table Gang. I am on FB but don't post there even though I am a member.

I'm sorry, I reread my post and realized I sounded nasty. I apologize. It's just that some are just posting on FB but not members of the FBG. Honestly, I never think about it and actually hardly ever post on FB anyway.

Thanks, Terilyn, it's nice to be missed. I'm still here some, just not as much as I used to be. I'm over at Flickr a lot these days...

I think the internet is changing, and GW has been promising to update the forums for a long, long time, but never has. As long as they have such old-fashioned forums, people will leave for the newer, fancier, easier to share places like FB. I personally like the old-style forums, but a lot of people want to evolve.

Plus, the demographics on the sites are totally different. Facebook is mostly under 30 and GW is mostly over 50. The under-30's don't even know what a kitchen table is, or the significance of talking around the kitchen table. They're more into texting from Starbucks.

I wonder what will happen to GW when it's main demographic dies off. I know that's morbid, but that's the way it is. If most of us are over 50, then eventually, health and life in general will take its toll.

Plus, in today's world, a lot of people who were home all day and had time to post have had to go back to work and probably don't feel like posting afterwards. I know I don't post much because I'm just too tired to socialize after working all day.

People come and go from forums. I've run a bunch of them back when I was a housewife and had more time. I really think they are like everything else in life, and change as people's lives change.
