I meant to add, the upstairs hallway is a large octagon shape, and the downstairs hallway is similar.

Someone added on the little room in the back of the house up the latticed stairs. It used to have on steep stair case with no lattice, and the basement wasn't hidden either.

Unfortunately they moved the concrete bench and table that was on the patio, and because of moving out the stairs they hid a lot of the large, rock patio.

It's a plain-jane foursquare to which someone stupidly added gingerbread porch trim. They reduced the value by the amount that it cost to add it.

Four square, that's right, I had forgotten! Although I wouldn't call it "plain jane" because they didn't take pics of the great architectural detail inside.

Nancy, I have a friend who's interested in buying it! We have so many fun memories when my parents were out of town, she wants the house for herself. lol.

I've never heard the term four square before, in our area we just call them farm houses or old colonials, but regardless, it's a really cute house Oak. I bet you have a lot of great memories there.

Luk, the term was coined back in the 80s, so I doubt hardly anyone's heard of it. I always considered it Craftsman because of all the woodwork inside, along with the front porch.

My mom had it decorated in Early American with lots of reds, golds and creams. She did a really good job.

As a kid I remember her beating an antique DR table with a chain to age it, then she painted it red and put a black glaze on it. In the kitchen she painted the cabs black and put a red glaze on them. I wanna go home. lol

Well, Craftsmen homes, are one of my favorite styles and have a very different flavor to them, but all the same, it's a very cute house. Nice you have such good memories.

My husband's parents live in a foursquare too. I think it's beautiful. Humongous moldings, beautiful wood, etc. I hope your friend buys it and brings it back to life!
