OMG Pixi's cake

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy did I wait so long to try it????

I know KT'ers are the best cooks ever! (right up there with my Mom)

All the talk of it today and I know I have had the recipe at least a couple years just waiting to be tried!

Well today was cold and dreary and I made it and

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It is one of the best cakes I've ever tasted!!! I made a brown sugar topping for it with pecans that was posted over at the Cooking forum with Pixis recipe.

I'm seriously kicking myself for not trying it sooner!

DH and I each had a peice. Now I gotta get it out of the house before we devour the entire cake in one evening!!! LOL

This is not a homeopathic solution, more of a topical solution. I use Encare Ovals for lubrication...insert it 10 minutes to 2 hours before uh...use....works wonderfully. I don't need it for the birth control, I like the moisture and so does he. Painless sex - even adds to the pleasure! It jump starts me when necessary. I wonder why I never see it mentioned on this forum. Like to hear him say "You're so wet"... It has non-oxynol9, the common spermicide in most OTCs, and I hear some women are sensitive to that. Interesting responses. I agree - stale fondant tastes terrible, but freshly made from scratch can be pretty tasty. Did anyone check out the cake flavors and fillings? Yum!! I think these cakes are for more than just for show. But y'all don't have to eat them - more left for me. LOL! Mikhail, I don’t, there are plenty of weeds in my yard. I just pull them when they pop up, sometimes I’m lazy and they get large and flower then I pull them. Bottom line, my yard has weeds lol.

We just ate ours. I made a mixed berry sauce for on it, and topped it with Dream Whip.

You know what is funny? About every year a post is on our KT about this cake (I've posted 2x) and it NEVER fails to get a big bunch of happy replies & kudos for the recipe. I KNEW it was gonna happen-that's why the 1st sentence of my post said 'here we go again'....gotta love it!

It's always been a family favorite . . . I've been having a hard time lately, as my dad died last month. Family is everything . . . I don't know what else to say, but I'm glad you enjoyed the cake.

HOT MILK CAKE RECIPE
from pixistix

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
2 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

Beat eggs and sugar well. Combine flour with bk. powder and add to egg mixture along with vanilla. Heat milk and butter together until butter melts; gradually add to batter, beating until well blended.

Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan or a bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Old fashioned, simple, melts in your mouth

****I bake mine in a square pyrex dish, and bake it about 45 minutes.

This is what I frosted with, it was posted on Pixies recipe for the cake over on the cooking forum that someone made. But man its perfect on this! AND read the last line of the topping recipe BEFORE you make it! (I didn't!)You will need to double it.

Brown Sugar Topping
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 T unsalted butter
3/4 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine the brown sugar, whipping cream & butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly until smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in the vanilla.
Let stand 10 minutes. Whisk until of spreading consistency. Stir in the pecans. Spread over the brownies or cake. Let stand 1 hour or until set. Serve cold or at room temperature. Makes enough for an 8x8 pan.

Thanks. DD and DGS are visiting the middle of the week, so I may make it for their visit. Then older son will come down for his birthday dinner on the weekend and we will have another cake for his birthday--chocolate.
