I need some advice re this UFO

Here's maybe a lesson, or a quilting tip, on "measure twice, cut once" - or - "Cut the border strips first" or something along that line. Anyway - I pulled out this UFO to work on. I loved the blue, and cut and pieced the sashing strips with the blocks, thinking "I have tons of this blue - I'll have enough". Well, you can see two borders are half as wide as the other two. So - I decided to put applique along the wider borders (still doing that - not all the flowers are on there) but it's been bothering me that the skinny borders just make it look skewed a little. Should I : 1) leave it as is; 2) add some strips of other fabrics to make the width of all the borders the same (see the green and pink fabrics down in the corder); 3) put some interesting piecing along the top and left side - prairie points? - to make it more balanced. Any suggestions will be helpful.
