Sitting here with flannel nighgown on and cannot get warm. And thermometer says it is 71 inside.

Took and airborne effervescent early, and just now two C's.

No energy. Have done NOTHING except find a spot to eat lunch.

I expected to be overwhelmed today at work. I work at a University and this is finals week. We don't ask our student workers to come in because we know they need to study. And I'm in a two person office and my co-worker is out on vacation. So besides it being normally busy and me being short handed there were a few projects that got dumped on me.

Too many details to write but lets just say these projects involved a charity donation so I was okay with the extra work. However, a student who was gathering information for me to key into the computer really dragged her heels getting me the stuff. She was supposed to have it to me last week, when I had student help and my co-worker to handle walk in customers while I did the computer work for the charity. I even e-mailed and telephoned this student and asked her to drop off what she had (75%) and I'd work on that while she got the other 25% together.

Long story short, she dropped off the stuff today while I was swamped with Monday morning reports and things I couldn't have possibly done last week. Short handed I was tempted to tell her that she missed her deadline. But the charity involved is St. Jude's so I really want to put forth the effort so they can get as big a donation as possible. But it's lots of extra work for me, I now have to backspace over todays date and type in a date from last week...may not sound like much to you but it is over 1,000 names & numbers that I have to do this to. So far I've got about 200 done so it won't be wrapped up today. Okay, my breaks over...back to the real work in hopes that I'll wrap it up tomorrow!

Sorry you are feeling puny Glenda! I like taking Airborne when I feel something coming on. I hope it helps you. I really admire all you gals that work or have worked in an office and all you can do! Oh if you didn't read my post about my fall, I tripped over Izzi's tie out lead on my front porch and whacked my cheek bone into the concrete, hit my replaced knee and broke my glasses. So, I am not too bad for the shape I'm in! :)

Glenda, please go to your doctor if you aren't feeling any better tomorrow. I hate to mention "flu" of any kind, but we all need to be careful. Does this mean you won't be sleeping with your bedroom air on???? LOL! Hope you feel better tomorrow, darlin'.

I don't know how "good" my day was but I got some things done including all the laundry washed, dried, folded and put away. It's been rainy and cold here--don't think it got about 65 degrees. Now the wind is picking up.

Neesie, I think I'd call in sick tomorrow! That sounds like a ton of work on your shoulders.

Dinner tonight? Corned beef hash made from the leftover corned beef I cooked Saturday. Guess I'll have lima beans and biscuits with it. Made lemon bars Sunday so if DH wants dessert, that'll have to do.

Hope everyone has a quiet evening--ours may get lively as it's "Dancing with the Star" night.

Marilyn_Sue, I didn't read about your fall either!! Sounds like you took a nasty tumble. Please take it easy.

I asked for some rhubarb on Freecycle and was welcomed to pick a bunch. So I went to one person's house and she had loads! I made a rhubarb pie, (now cooling), stewed rhubarb and cut up a bunch to put in the freezer.

Slow-cooked ribs, and topped them with bbq sauce under the broiler, some steamed rice and coleslaw. This is one of DH's favourite meals. Reminds him of when he lived in Texas....he misses the tex-mex meals. I often make enchilladas and fajittas for him as well.

Ouch, Marilyn!! Hope you continue to recover well. My day....a good one! I won $800 at the casino and we had a pretty good offer on the house we're selling. Yep, a good day!

What program are you using for your work? Word has a "find and replace" function. Might help speed up your editing for your project.

Sue ---- I also didn't see the post re: your accident. but, from where I'm sitting, being totally unproductive, it looks like it didn't slow you down one iota. LOL

I have at least 15 half finished projects I really need to work on but haven't been able to find a starting point. This week I've been working on a birthday present for DIL. It's coming up in July and I am trying to finish an afghan using leftover bits & pieces of yarn her grandmother had when she passed away. Better get back to it before I lose momentum.
