One opened in our area. I was under the impression it was a large, reasonably priced craft store.

Boy was I disappointed. They have very small sections of very high-priced craft supplies. But most of the store is filled with home decor, knick knacks, etc.--insteresting stuff, but really, how much of that decorative junk can any one person use? Just aisle after aisle of it.

Definitely go and check it out (and check the website before going for a coupon). The coupons are only good on non-sale stuff--most of the items in the store seem to be on perpetual sale--they're still pretty high, though--so you often can't use the coupons, but take one along just in case.

And if yours is anything like ours? Wear your walking shoes, the place is H-U-G-E!!! (that was the one thing I was right about).

I'm not a crafty person, but I find seasonable items, when they are on sale.

My friend goes there to buy patterns for her GD's clothes when she makes them.

It depends on each one. Ours in Minot is not really large, and it depends on the season. Good sales for after the holiday, and even good sales before depending on what you want. As to yarn etc, not sure but again may depend on your store. Watch your paper--our paper has an ad once a week, and it may vary as to the day, but it usually has a 40% tiny coupon on the bottom of the ad. Do watch the electronics etc. I bought a Ott light about 2 years ago, and the bulb burned out, within a month, had received a second bulb, this time the transformer went out and I contacted Ott, and in researching the numbers, found out that light was 4 years old. Ott was nice enough to send me a new one, with the transform in the bulb itself--much cheaper to use and replace and it is still working.
Everytime you go in you will find new stuff, and do check their magazines. No discount but a good selection. Not much on counted cross stitch. Ours also carries miniature train stuff and a art supplies. Just a fun place to go to. Sometimes short on help.

Yarn? What yarn? The one in our area is more like a toy store. Caters to hobbyists who like to play with trains.

Sadly, no yarn.

I love our Hobby Lobbys, they are clean, well-stocked, reasonably priced, well-staffed and fun to browse in. At ours, we can request them to ring something up at the regular price so we can use the 40% coupon. And if you go to hobbylobby.com, you can print off as many coupons as you want, but should only use one a day. Per customer. Sometimes I drag Woody in so we can each use a coupon.

Their merchandise changes all the time, they keep up with new crafting trends and they're very convenient to shop in, IMO. And they have nice restrooms, too, at least in my area. There are 3 HLs within 45 miles of my house.

We have a nice one here in GA. It has three aisles of yarn!, Lots of material also. But azzalea is right, it has a LOT of decorative stuff. The prices aren't exactly discount either. But this store is well stocked with about everything you could imagine.

They have the world's best Christmas wrapping paper. Nice and heavy with lots on the roll. It comes on sale for 1/2 price often.. I live fairly close to a nice big one. They run good sales all the time.. Hope you enjoy yours..

If you use the 40% coupon you'll get a decent deal.
IMHO Yarn is higher there than say, Wal Mart. But w/the coupon it's a good buy.
Love the scrapbook supplies. It goes on forever! And again, if you watch the sales you can get a great deal.

I prefer them over Michael's! They want an arm & a leg for everything, and their stores are so crammed it's hard to get through them.

They are great and offer all kinds of helps for crafts sewing and yarn work. They offer a great selection of seasonal items for decorating and also nice casual furniture (imports) if you sign up you can get a weekly email with (usually) a 40% off coupon for in store purchases and/or online.

Their sales are good When I was doing a lot of crafts I was there every week. They also have supplies for Stamp Collecting and coin collection.

It is the only place I've been able to find crochet hooks that have little flashlights in the hook area.

Love Hobby Lobby have been going to them for many years since the original is in Oklahoma city I started going there when I lived in Oklahoma. They have changed a lot since they have become a big chain.
They have big sales all the time 50% off on tons of stuff, plus the 40% off coupons. I buy a lot of stuff there.
You will have to see what the one in your area offers but definitely check the website before going so you know what is on sale and print off the coupons.

I love Hobby Lobby, it's one of my favorite stores.I knit and buy yarn there , using the coupon from newspaper.Our store is large and well lighted. The aisle are wide, not like Michael's.Hobby Lobby also has really good scented candles.One I really like is Wild Fern,a clean pleasant smell, Candles are often on sale as well as their picture frames.
