Silgranit sink older than 5 years?
Comments (9)I have a blanco silgranit in white. I wouldn't get white again. I love the size (I have the 1 3/4) and maybe other materials would be the same, but while it cleans up easily with barkeeper's friend, there is discoloration (it's general so I won't call it staining) that has slightly darkened the bottom area around the drain. When I've got company coming, I scrub it well then use bleach and hot water and let that sit. It doesn't look dirty or gross, it's just not evenly white and nothing seems to change it. It's also roughed up around the drain and I think that will have to be sanded off. I might buy a silgranit again, but not white....See MoreMoenstone sinks
Comments (2)Well, I've had my biscuit (cream) colored Silgranit sink since July. It doesn't show black marks, it doesn't show stains, and I have never needed elbow grease.... I really like it! That's part of why I say my new kitchen "cleans itself". More time cooking, less time cleaning....See MoreCast iron vs. Granite sink????????
Comments (2)Our cast iron would get black marks from any pan. Had to scrub it out with Barkeepers friend. We don't have hard water, but weekly I would have to bleach with softscrub or Clorox bleach spray and do some scrubbing to get rid of discoloration. It was very sturdy, though, and we only had a couple pits in it within 13 years. We recently installed a Blanco and I love it. I will probably never go back. Very easy maintenance....See MoreCafe Brown Granite Sink with Tropical Brown Granite Counter
Comments (2)What color are your cabinets? I would be afraid that a brown sink in a brown counter would look like a black hole. Good luck Here is a link that might be useful: Gardenweb links...See MoreJoseph Corlett, LLC
