I tried to print mine yesterday and kept getting an error message. After ten tries or so, I quit. I would be upset if I found out that the coupon was only accepted certain hours, especially if I already waited in line and ordered. It should be stated on the coupon. Maybe it was each proprietors choice????

I took one to KFC today and they had a sign that they weren't taking them anymore until Monday. I was told that they had so many coupons used yesterday that they were running short on the grilled chicken and wouldn't get more until Monday.

KFCs are franchised and do not have to honor the coupons at all. I certainly can understand them putting restrictions on them. The onus should not be on the franchisee to have to put up signs, the coupon maker should be giving the details, but of course they won't, they'll just put subject to limitations or something equally ambiguous.

Popeye's chicken recently had a promo going for an 8 pc chicken for $4.99 or something like that. The one franchise in the area did not participate in the promo as was their option. There was nearly RIOTS because of this! The police had to be called because people were making so much trouble over a piece of chicken! What is with these greedy people these days? Let them go out and run a business instead of flaunting the "customer is always right" bull droppings and let's see how their attitude changes then.

I realize I know more about retail than most people, but it still irritates me when I see people go nuts like the rioters at Popeye's. That was disgusting.

Many people don't realize WHO pays for these things. It's usually the franchisee! Just like Shell gas puts out gas coupons for people and makes the franchisee eat the loss. There's very little margin on gas to start with and then make them lose the little profit AND MORE just so they can promote their brand is WRONG.

I was asked by someone to print out the coupon for her.
When I used the link, and asked for the download, it makes you install "coupon printer" software.

Beware...this software installation also installs 2 pieces of spyware. Since I have anti-spyware on at all times, my Zone Alarm caught them, and deleted them...after displaying a message stating what happened.

This could be why some people can't print the coupons...your security software may be blocking installation of this software.

I had to laugh...Oprah isn't giving anything away. She's probably making a little profit from making you install the spyware.

So many people printed dozens of multiples that KFC is having big problems. Our KFC was jammed at 1:45 today. I eventually bailed out to get DD from the bus stop.

If I wanted to eat at KFC I'd eat there, whether I had a coupon or not.
Didn't cost anything for the coupon...so why go to another place to eat after stopping at two KFC's?

We used a couple of them for lunch today...

They really checked ours over...they looked funny because I'm out of color ink...They ask me if I printed them off the internet...I told him yes and explained...then he was okay with them...He just hadn't seen any that looked like it. The only color I have left is yellow...LOL

Oh...and it was good....except I don't like dark chicken. But I managed to eat most of it.

Connie...maybe they were going to eat there just because it was free but since the timing wasn't right for them they decided if they had to pay they'd go where they like it better.

I'm going to try in a little bit get it bring it home and freeze for later on hope my KFC is taking it I remember when Applebees didn't honor the military discount

I really don't blame the franchisee for not accepting them during their busiest times, they have to make a buck and it's hard to tell how (or if) KFC corporate is repaying them for the meals they are giving away. And even if they are reimbusrsing them for the actual food the franchise owner is paying his employees for taking care of those customers.

They make their money during the peak dining hours and have to wait on the paying customers. Makes sense to me. Often the marketing departments come up with these wonderful ideas and the poor franchisees have no option but to honor them with little advance notice.

Pattico you are right and we didn't have to go into KFC to see the signs, you could see them from the parking lot. The funny thing it was around 12:30 and neither KFC was busy at all, maybe two or 3 cars, but none in the drive up, so it wasn't a busy time. If we had gotten the free meals, we would have bought drinks. Well, we won't be back to a town with a KFC for some time again so we won't be using the coupons.

I may be wrong but I believe there was something on the site that mentioned the hours that the coupons would be honored. Made sense to me that they wouldn't want to be bothered with them at their busiest times.

Also, I don't know how any one could print off multiples. I only printed 3; hadn't noticed the limit of 4. Then I read here that you could print 4, so I went back and tried to print 1. I got a message that said I had already printed my limit. So apparently one PC can only print no more than 4. Smart PC. It can count!

I will use one of mine tomorrow.

The coupon deal reminded me of the time a manager in Anderson, IN of the Texas Roadhouse posted on some website coupons for a free meal. It did not say one per customer or anykind of limit or that you had to buy anything to get the free meal. So many showed up and they honored them all. At least he had the forethought to put an expiration date on the coupon
Oh, we only had the two coupons for KFC.

the KFC we went to wasn' accepting the coupons but if we wrote our names and addresses on they would send them to corporate and if they said they were legit we'd get a coupon in the mail I imagine it is like that all over. I had a coupon from the sunday paper (a pull out coupon) for one free piece and they took that

Anyway it was delicious. My cat nearly grabbed it out of my hand I had to keep pulling off little pieces for her I ended up with about half a piece. I would definitly buy some

I printed my four, and decided I'll hold onto them and use them next week. Then today our local TV news show said there hads been such "crowds" yesterday that KFC is refusing to honor these coupons. Darn! I really wanted to try it.

We went at noon...no problem here....

No. I haven't eaten KFC in years. I don't like their chicken.
