can drink as it is cleaning your dishwasher! LOL

TANG.... my dishwasher is clean clean clean AND

I had a nice orangy drink! lol My Grandma and

Grandpa used to have TANG all the time. I like it!

Have used it for cleaning the toilet, but would never DRINK it myself--LOL. Didn't even like it when I was a kid and the astronauts were promoting it

I went to my local store a few weeks ago, looking to buy Tang. They didn't carry it but had a similar orange crystal drink . I can't remember the name. maybe the people who advertise Tang should start extolling its cleaning uses.

Don't worry I'm repressing plenty of tainted exploits from my youth, swiping the van was one I don't mind mentioning though because it was more amusing than criminal. Stealing a vehicle that has an empty gas tank,,, yeah that sounds like a real Einstein! LOL Still, running out of gas after only a few blocks was probably the best thing that could have happen to us under the circumstances. :)

I know this is an old thread, but I gotta chip in. I grow tomatoes MOSTLY because you can NEVER get tomatoes in the store that are as spectacular in taste as what you grow. (But it doesn't do much good to grow Romas or Early Girls since they don't taste that great even when you grow them at home.) Anything else I grow in my garden is for fun, but with tomatoes it is simply because you can't get 'em unless you grow 'em. That being said, I MUST EAT TOMATOES. And if I HAVE to buy tomatoes, like in winter time, I have often found surprisingly good flavor with the following: 1. Kumato. Pretty spectacular for a store tomato. Worth buying. Probably better than a lot of people (who stick with common commercial varieties) do grow in their garden. 2. Campari. Decent. Acceptable. A good enough tomato when you can't find anything better. Easily beats 99 percent of store tomatoes. 3. Sunburst (Yellow cherry tomato that is medium large for a cherry. Very good flavor, most of the time. I buy mine from Costco in a 3 pound plastic box.) 4. SOME of the grape tomatoes in boxes. 5. Hot house, picked ripe, tomatoes on the vine. These used to be better, until EVERYONE seemed to realize it, and started growing inferior tomatoes that still look good but taste like cardboard, despite being supposedly "ripe on the vine". That is bout it, most of the time. It is no wonder that 90 percent of people who "don't like" tomatoes think they are tasteless pieces of garbage. All they have ever eaten are store-bought tomatoes that are bred for looks, but not for flavor, then grown and shipped greeen green green.

Hi soxxx, What to do about the phone bill? Paying good money for nil service for about a week? Soxx it to 'em, that's what!! Call as many times to request an amendment to your bill - more times than you did to notify them/complain about the outage! Be persistent. On the other hand ... ... there has been some fake money (granted, it's Canadian) floating around this area for some time. Perhaps we could find some and send it down to you. You could offer to pay the phone company ... ... with fake money ... ... in compensation for fake service! After about the tenth call ... ... tell them that you're keeping track of the unnecessary time that you've been putting into trying to get justice from them ... ... and that you're going to be billing them for it. And you can guarantee that your billing would not be for service that was not provided! What would it cost you to sue them in small claims court? Up here, one can do it for about $10.00, I think. You'd be doing it in your area, and you can bet that they'd be sending a high-priced lawyer to answer to the charge. Your local newspapers and TV would more than likely be happy to attend at court, as well. Teach the phone co. that they can't push you around! I'm sure that the newspaper readers would be interested to read the story of the messages from the phone co. ... especially after they notified you that your problem had been fixed. Maybe your husband could send them a bill! On the othe hand - be careful: they might charge him with interfering with their facilities! No doubt your newspapers and TV would be happy to attend that hearing, as well. Have a great inter-holiday week! Again ... soxxx it to the phone co! Hey - what am I talking about: I own shares in the phone co! (That have gone down in price since their purchase). I've heard of that before, cleaning the dishwasher with Tang. I usually use a commercial product, but you cannot drink that, right?! Did you run the dishwasher empty, or since it's a food product, did you put it in with the dishes and dishwashing detergent?

It is the citric acid....a product in a lot of products.
Hot Tang really helps sooth a sore throat.

How does it clean? Isn't it mostly sugar? Yeah, it's probably not fit for human consumption, LOL.

Reminds me of the time I learned the way to melt crusty battery acid off your car's battery for a clearer connection, was to pour coke or pepsi on it. Melts that stuff right off!

Yes, Tang did go to the moon with our astronauts.

You can make a nice summer drink with 50% Tang and 50% instant iced tea. Keep it in an airtight container, then a couple of heaping spoons of it in a glass of ice water... Haven't had it in years, but used to drink it all the time...

It's so funny to me to see this thread here today - I was just explaining the cleaning benefits of Tang and dishwashers to our cleaning ladies that clean units for us at work - they were looking at me like I had lost my mind when I told them Tang is absolutely the best product out there to bring a dishwasher back to sparkling white! They tried it and are now believers...I guess it's maybe not a bad thing if Tang cleans the gunk out of our insides as well, but I have not had a glass since it became a cleaner in my mind.
Kind of like the Avon Bubble Bath - my avon lady gave me a list of all the things it will clean around the house, some very dirty situations...kind of turned me off using it in my bath!
