stick on undercab LED puck???

User

I have been thinking about undercab lighting... as I said previously, probably 10% for task lighting and 90% for the cosmetics to be totally honest.

When I originally inquired of the electrician, they kind of said it would be very pricey and I should wait to see if I thought I needed it after the countertops were installed etc .. ( I currently have off white laminate and will be replacing it with as yet undecided but most likely light granite but who knows til it is installed right?).

Then the regular contractor just showed me these LEVITON everywhere LED lights that use 3 AA batteries, that you just push on/off, and stick on to under the cabinet. The light is not terrific, but for accents its fine. He also mentioned there are some that the lightcan be directed. I think this is sounding simple and great and OF COURSE I am wondering why no one seems to have used them.

What am I missing? Its like 1/10 of the cost or thereabouts. (no wiring).

Please help. I will try to find this on the web to show a link in the meantime.
