April block lotto participants

My son was here today for Mother's Day. I took him out to the studio to show him the lotto blocks.

His reaction - WOW, Mom, these are awesome!! So these blocks will go into a quilt for my son for Christmas. I wish there was time to get them done for his university graduation - but that's in two weeks, LOL, and, frankly, no one in Central Texas needs a quilt in May.

I'm retired, and have time, but I can't assemble a queen-sized bed quilt so quickly, and I need to buy a fabric for the sashing. It will probably be a solid black fabric, because he really loved the two color only look.

I thank you all, and my son thanks you even more. He's never wanted a quilt before, but he LOVED all these b/w blocks.

Mary, that is so great! It is always much more fun making a quilt when you know the recipient already loves it. I am looking forward to seeing it.

This is sooooo exciting!!!!!! I just remembered it's now May (still can't believe it! Where did April go????). My mother loves green and her birthday is in a few weeks. Maybe????? Thank you to everyone that participated :-) I'll post some pictures when I figure out how to assemble the squares.

Mary, that really tickles me pink. There is a 'right' quilt for everybody. If they havent' liked quilts, it's just because they haven't found the right one yet, LOL. Your son just did, I think.

It will be an amazing quilt, very masculine and interesting. But still, something his mother gave him and warm and substantial for many years to come.

Thanks, all!

I got 38 blocks from this lotto. 30 will go into my son's quilt-so if you don't see your blocks in the first quilt, please don't be offended!

The rest will go into a Quilt of Valor at a future date.

First - Congrats to your son for graduating from college!! How very cool that after all the quilts he has seen, that he really likes the B & W block designs from the group! This is a great way to personally use the blocks from your "winnings" as well as sharing them in the QOV quilts. Those that serve our country will also say WOW and think they are awesome. I can't wait to see what you make with them all.
