My logical self tells me that DeAnna won't find true happiness because she seems to fall in love too easily. She says she fell in love with Brad, and the previews indicate she supposedly finds true love as The Bachelorette. On the first night alone she eliminated 10 men. What are the odds that out of 15 men, that one of them just happens to be everything you've always wanted in a husband? But my romantic self tells me that everything is possible and you don't often find yourself in a social situation where everyone at the gathering is there specifically because they are ready and hopefull of finding their soulmate and settling down. So I guess being in a setting with only 15 guys who are ready to give up their bachelorhood would be better odds that being with 50 random guys, of which mabye only 8 might be looking for something serious. So I'm rooting for her that she will actually find true love with whoever she picks!

I have to say that I have enjoyed quite a few guilty pleasures since I kicked my SOAB (except I love my MIL) DH out in February -- DWTS, AI, and now The Bachelorette. I've never watched any of these shows before and I LOVE them! I've enjoyed TB, even though it seems so contrived. Wes, the villain. Michael, sweet and clueless. Jake, Jesse and Kyptyn(?), eminently desirable. Tanner, what's with the feet? Ewww! Early on I liked Juan a lot, thought their careers and families would mesh well, but if the spark's not there, it's not there. It seems that many of the contenders didn't get much time with her, but that could just be the film editing. And there does seem to be a LOT of drinking going on. I'm kind of uncomfortable with the idea that at lunch she's practically necking with one guy, and later, with another. It does look like there's a "no tongues" rule, at least for the cameras. I think Jesse would be a good bachelor for a future show if he doesn't get chosen on this one. A handsome wine maker in Carmel Valley...sigh. Carmel Valley is like a micro Napa Valley, more bucolic and less congested. Scenery is amazing. I learned to walk at Lake Louise, so it was nice to see it. A few days exclusive use of a few luxury train cars, plus the entertainment, helicopters, etc.??? Goes to show how much the budget is since there's not that much in-your-face product placement, unless you're counting Wes, who you couldn't pay me to buy his potential CD. LOL

It you watch the scene with Ed again you can tell the pictures they show after the light came on were from earlier when they were rubbing oil on each other. Notice every light and candle were burning and they were wearing the same clothes? The picture of Ed sitting on the balcony was also from earlier. Do you really think they got the camera crew and told them to come back in and lit every light and candle again? As for Kip and Reid, you really don't know how long the camera crews were there. They just didn't show as much but they might have hung around a bit, too. We just don't know. They move stuff around to make it looks like he couldn't perform but I don't think it was that at all. If anything I think they were both tired and sunburned.

I don't think any of the things that Wes said in the limo was voice over. Facial expressions and hand gestures sure went along with what was coming out of his mouth. There is no doubt that Wes was in this to promote his career, heck any opportunity that came his way to plug his new cd, he took it and then some. The show definitely made him out to be a "bad boy", but as he said last night, he was there for "numero uno". I loved what he said to Reid at the Rose ceremony, "I'm gonna get alot of sex when I get home". LOL "The Bachelorette tell all" show will be interesting between Jake, Tanner and Wes.
