It's 80 right now and supposed to get to 88 today. I am staying home and working outside. Just come inside long enough to get a drink, cool off and thinking about what I am going to fix to eat. I'm going to make pea salad. It is made with frozen peas...but not cooked, bacon, celery, purple onion...and is supposed to have peanuts in it, but I don't like them, so I use walnuts. It's dressed with mayo thinned with Italian dressing. I love it...even though I don't care for the more traditional pea salads.

Had some rain, but not as much as predicted. No major storms yet, but I am sure they will come. Got part of the garden in, but don't want live plants yet. Still some cold weather to come. Got a change in the Cafe here, so getting use to different menus. It was a sudden change,but everyone working together.

Church auction tomorrow,and I'm waiting for someone to come pick up some heavier things I have to put on the sale. We will serve lunch so later today I have to go shred cabbage for coleslaw. It's a lovely 75ú degrees and partly cloudy here today.....we had a terrific thunderstorm last night, and quite a bit of needed rain. I forgot to empty the gauge, so don't know how much, but enough for a few days!

It's around 80 here and sunny. I need to weed eat out back but first we are planning to go to see a movie. Not sure which one, the kids want to see The Avengers and Dark Shadows and they're both playing at a nearby theater.

I just got back from buying a little red pickup truck - so excited! I've had a van, a Corvette, an Escalade and a Tahoe, in my adult years - always wanted a little red truck - I am BLESSED indeed!

It is bright sunshine with blue skies here and is at this time 84 degrees in my little part of Texas. I have to repot some plants today and might start work on my tiffany blue totem.Must go get some groceries and the pharmacy today too.

I delivered Meals on Wheels and now it is time for my lunch. It is cloudy and breezy here and looks like rain. The rain is not supposed to come until tomorrow.

It is a beautiful, sunny, warm day here in NNY. I slept in until 9, very unusual for me and just took my time taking care of house stuff. Took my sister to buy bird seed and put it in feeder. Put up a new feeder for myself. I will spend the afternoon reading while hubby watches baseball. Tonight we will have dinner and hangout with DS, DDIL, and grandsons at their house. All in all, a great day.

Hmmm, I spell omelette this way. The spell-checker wants me to change it to toilette! I don't think so.

It's hot today, hitting 29 degrees today and tomorrow (high 80's). This is our Canadian long weekend, and it's the nicest one in years. It rains more often and sometimes snows.

Our good friend came over and brought some wood and built me a little raised bed for little garden. I'm going to plant a tomato plant, a couple of pepper plants, a basil plant and my lovage that my friend gave me. I have it filled with soil and compost and it looks really nice.

I'll probably buy the plants tomorrow. Or I might even wait a week to make sure we don't get any more frost. We had frost this week already.

An omelette's ...

Whew got all the planting done, moved stuff around in the atrium. Got some new metal plant stands set up. Thank goodness for the nice breeze in the atrium it was not too bad.

Now need to venture out for grocery shopping and figure out dinner.

Oh it was/is windy here today. VERY windy. But the FreeWheel training rides are going on, and we did 55 miles. Half of that was with a GLORIOUS tailwind... but the second half sucked. :)

Then I bought a futon bed, went out to dinner and am about to get in to my jammies.

very nice 75deg here...I am working on the Frogs new and improved "news van"... I finished making his new pedastool swivel chair, complete with footrest and a pedastal camera mount, got the signs for the side printed....."Frog Pond Gazette......NEWS VAN....lily pad publishing".

Still have to make the flat deck for the top of the wagon with the pedastal mounts and hopefully I can find some green artificial turf type carpet to cover the deck..

Hopefully I will have it done and make some photos to post tomarrow, then were off to the TV station....LOL

Gorgeous day here today.

We got an early start and headed to the country house with the pick-up piled high with assorted stuff, and plans to mow the lawn--which was starting to look like a hayfield last time we were down (Monday).

So we pulled up out back, and I noticed the back yard still looked good--DH had mowed that last weekend. Then I walked out front to check the mail box--and the front was cut!!! What a lovely surprise. One of our neighbors came over with his ride-on at some point this week. Boy, I cannot think of a better 'welcome to the neighborhood' gift than that! Took us a little work to figure out WHICH neighbor we needed to thank, but after 2 or 3 different conversations with neighbors, we tracked him down!

So we had extra hours to spare--which gave us time to wander on back to the suburbs, go out to lunch, pull up and replace some tiles in the kitchen, and then go out for dinner. (We aren't being especially extravagant--without a fridge, we're pretty much eating most meals out).

Tomorrow, DD will be over to do some cleaning, I'll be heading to the supermarket for some cheese and fruit, then the buyers are stopping by to check the house. And we're taking dd out to one of our favorite local places for dinner

Wisconsin: Sunny all day, few puff clouds, peaked at 82 F. Light breeze, Perfect day. This morning, I awoke to the sound of lawnmower engines in the neighborhood. Grass is growing more than it has for the past few years.

Wife was out this morning and spied a 1923 Model T Ford at her favorite fast food joint. Its top was down.

I went grocery shopping this afternoon and when I got back, my back yard was mowed! My wife said our next door neighbor was out on his riding mower, called our phone to asked to mow the back yard. She said yes. By the time I got home, all that was left for me to do was some trimmimg. Wow.

A cool front is supposed to move through tomorrow bringing some rain, floowed by cooler temperatures. Wonderful May weather. Somewhere out back, I hear a male wren singing out his territory.

Gorgeous weekend here too in upstate NY. Yesterday I potted up a few window boxes. Found some beautiful coleus this year, so each box has at least one kind. Also, was fitted for a new pair of orthotics.

Jasdip, you will enjoy your lovage. I use mine quite often.

Thanks Tobygirl. She gave me a bunch to use a few weeks ago and I love the celery smell and the flavour. It's going to be awesome in tomato sauces and my cabbage soup etc.

This has been a great weekend. My family gave me a surprise retirement party. Only my youngest wasn't able to come. They did such a good job of keeping it secret that I never suspected a thing. Only one more week of school then I am off to the next chapter of my life. I am looking forward to more time with DH, grandkids, doing some traveling, and gardening. I will also be able to help my aging parents.

Well it's the weekend before US Memorial Weekend. Did a little housework and laundry. Been gardening, my six tomato plants look very good. But the vegetables I put in (grown from seed) have all flopped over-radishes, peas, onions. I think I'll check out Lowes and/or Home Depot for some vegetable seedings. My lettuces are doing okay. Planted a few flowers-hollyhocks, sweet peas, in semi-shady areas . My bleeding hearts-pink, white, yellow, plus gold-leaf all look fine. We've had a mild spring. after a snow-less winter, it's good. All I have left to plant are four kinds of herbs for my herb garden. Maybe do that Sunday. Weather has been great- 60's at night, around 80 and sunny during the days. (I'm in Long Island NY).

It seems like most that have posted have had a pretty good weekend and pretty good weather too. It is now 88 this Sunday afternoon. The kids have all gone home after eating lunch. Cheryl and Kevin put the air conditioner in the kitchen window, it really makes a difference. No rain yet, if it does not rain by tomorrow, we will plan on watering the garden. Some of my tomato plants are blooming. We have been having lettuce and radishes from it. The potatoes keep growing fast and we have to keep hilling them up. We still have more things we want to plant. Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
