How to add cable access to media furniture

Recently bought this mahogany media cabinet at one of those import stores. This is one of my impulse buys I regret, but it is the perfect size for my bedroom TV and has lots of shelves and draweres, so it will work for now.

Anyway, there is only a hole in the back behind one of the shelves, and there is no space behind any of the shelves to thread the various power wires and other cables through. I need to hookup a playstation 3, cable box, VCR/DVD combo, and bluray player. What is the best way to add cable access? Should I just drill round holes through the back of each area I need access through? What is the best drill bit to use for this?

Here is a pic. Don't remember this thing being so DARK when I ordered it. Oh well!
