Other than White Cabinets for White Macaubus?

We found a remnant of WM (one with more of a white base than cream) for our bathroom vanity. Used it with a black wash rift oak and it's great! (picture in progress) We found out there is enough left over to use for the 2 small mudroom cabinets (both upper and lower) that are paint grade so I am looking for a paint color - hopefully something other than white. The mudroom is really just a hallway that leads from the garage to the bathroom pictured and shares the same floor tile throughout. It's a small hallway and somewhat dark although I plan to paint the walls white. The floor is a Geotech tile. It is the same as the tile in the bathroom. Was thinking to use perhaps a green gray color but not too dark. Or maybe I should play it safe and paint them white? (hesitant because it will get lots of wear and tear from kids). Ideas? Someone suggested asking the painter to do a faux paint to make it look like the rift oak since it is in the same area and shares the same floor. I think that would be tough. Alternatively, the costly solution would to be have doors remade in rift oak - but after all - it's a mud room area. Seems silly to spend so much for that.

Your bathroom looks great so far! We used WM in our kitchen, and in looking for paint colors for our glass BS, we found that greenish grays or blue-green greys looked best with the WM. (Charcoal also looks good, but probably would not work well with your floors.)

Take a look at Dusty Dream (DE6312) by Dunn Edwards. The sample we tried looked great with the WM. We went one shade lighter (Haze Blue) for our BS because we have walnut cabinets and wanted a lighter shade on the walls, but Dusty Dream would look great for cabinets, IMHO. A couple of the darker shades on that swatch card could also work well. One card over, Grey Flannel (DE6319) was also a color that looked really good with WM.

I considered 2 tone upper and lower but went with white on the two side walls and a wall of talls in a custom mix blue.

I'm embarassed to say I didn't give this any thought when we chose creamy cabinets, but it's worked out fine. Our trim is more of a real white, the cabinets are more of a vanilla. We have a white-trimmed window between two creamy cabinets and I never notice they're slightly different colors. We also have white beadboard on a non-cabinet wall in the kitchen that's the same white as the window trim but different from the cabinets, and that doesn't jump out at me either. Our kitchen chairs are a different creamy white than the creamy white cabinets, and that also doesn't bug me. This might not help, but that's the report from a creamy/regular white kitchen!

FYI, here are some of my inspiration photos. I love the red accents in this first one (my compliments to SoonerMagic--I hope it's OK that I'm re-posting this) but I'm just not sure if white subway tile might be too stark in our kitchen. Our cabs are white rather than off-white, there's no window above the sink and there won't be much painted wall showing. If we went with this color scheme we'd probably do something like BM Bennington Gray on the walls. Not certain if we'd use the contrasting grout or go with something whiter. I like how the beige-y backsplash in this 2nd photo adds a little more color to the room. Was thinking a subway tile in this shade might still work nicely with red accents (with paint in a similar beige shade): A third option would be to do a grayish paint (BM Gray Owl?) and go with a subway tile in carrara marble something like the one below (sorry--I'm not sure whose pic this is). The problem is I'm not sure that would coordinate well with the red in our dining room. It's also a cooler color scheme than I'd originally planned. Any thoughts? Our floors are hardwood, by the way--similar to the color in pic #2 or just a touch lighter. Thanks again for all the input!

Don't judge it in broad daylight. Will look different inside your home. I know someone with white macaubus counters and they have a definite bluish/grayish cast to them. But the overall feel in their space is light and bright. It's on a gray island next to perimeter cabs painted white with dark counters. All the sea pearl I saw when I was looking had a greenish cast to it. They were all indoors if that matters. They are both gorgeous stones but I think the white macaubus goes a bit better with your tile choices according to what I'm seeing in your photo.
